Lockdown Selfcare Favourite's

4/11/2020

Hey Guys,

Today's post is a simple favourite's for you, of some of the products that I have been enjoying recently. Specially with us all spending some extra time at home atm why not fill it with some self care!

Picture

First up we have Ole Henriksen Find Your Balance Oil Control Cleanser.

I tried this as a travel size to see if I liked it and I didn't expect to fall so in love with it!
The travel size was £10 from Boots for 60ml.
I purchased this at the beginning of February and its still going now, you don't need a lot, it lathers up really nicely, it smells amazing (peppermint) which helps give a real fresh feeling when using.
My skin is sensitive but not troublesome so I bought this more to keep on top of my skin and keeping it clear.
It's helped improve the little texture I did have, it's helped to even skin tone and kept it clear and breakout free! So a huge success and I will definitely be repurchasing the larger size!

Picture

Oh K! SOS Detoxifying Peel Off Clay Mask
I purchased this at the beginning of the year, from Feel Unique £7 for 100ml, after falling in love with some of their other products.
This mask applies nicely and takes a while to dry but does peel off in one go which is so satisfying!
It gently exfolaites, my face always feels refreshed, clean and looks clear! It helps to irradicate any texture, helps to reduce excess sebum on the skin and my skin feels so smooth!
It has a strong whichhazel scent but as it dries it does go.
I've used it 8 times so far and I'm still far from the end of the tube!
Well worth trying!

Picture

Nuxe Multi-Correctional Eye Crème Prodigieuse Boost
I purchased this by complete accident, I was actually after the Nuxe Multi-Correctional Day Cream which I recieved a travel size in my M&S Christmas advent calendar and fell in love with!
This retails for £23.50 for 15ml but my gosh a little goes a long way and I would say after 4 months use I'm a third of the way through!
I am so happy I accidentally purchased this eye cream though!
I suffer from dry, dark circles around my eyes from being poorly & the tablets I taken.
This cream helps to put moisture back into my skin without it feeling greasy or breaking me out. It helps the texture and tone of my under eye and even relieves the puffiness, it always feels nice and cooling around the eye.
I highly recommend to anyone who suffers from dark circles or dry eyes!

Picture

Laniege Lip Sleeping Mask - Vanilla
I bought this last year but I can't quite remember where from. They retail for around £16 and are available at a few different K-beauty online stores.
This mask is a thick one, if you don't like the feeling of having a product on then you probably won't like this one.
I put a generous coating over my lips and by morning it has been absorbed. It smells amazing like vanilla cupcakes, depending how generously you apply it, the pot lasts a long time, I'm now heading to 12 months and still have half a jar left, so I'm more likely to have to change pots because of the date rather than running out of product.
I use this several times a week to help keep my lips well moisturised, keeps them from cracking or becoming dry!
Highly recommend!

Picture

Next is another Ole Henriksen Lip Scrub Lucky Pucker
I purchased this at the beginning of the year after hearing such good reviews and I am so glad that I did.
This works hand in hand with the lip mask, I use this a few times a week to help remove any dead skin and to keep my lips fresh and moisturised.
It has a strong cinnamon taste and scent but I can over look that as the product does what I want it to do.
I wouldnt say that this offers extreme exfoliation, it is a gentle exfoliation which I prefer as you can build it up and use it more frequently rather than make your lips raw and sore.

Picture

Superdrug Calm Skin Overnight Mask
I bought this one on a random haul last year and haven't looked back. They are £2.99 and often on deal as Buy 1 Get 1 half price.
I'm currently on my 5th tube and I love it! I use it a few times a week to make sure that my skin is well moisturised, feels soft and smooth and looks clear. Definitely a product I will be keeping in my routine
The chamomile scent is soft but enough to get you feeling relaxed and calm!
Well worth trying if you want a mask for overnight that doesn't break the bank but offers nourishment for the skin.

Picture

Last up is a honourable mention as it is a product that you can't get here in the UK.
The Sephora Oat Muesli mask. My best friend bought it back from America as a Christmas gift for me and I haven't stopped using it!
I'm at 8 uses and have a few more left yet but I'm dreading running out!
I have psoriasis which flares up at times, this soothes the area so well, helps to balance the moisture and soothes the area's.
My skin always feels soft and it lasts for days!
All of Sephora's masks are worth a try as they are so reasonably priced!

So there you have some of my lockdown self love favourites.
I hope you are all keeping well and safe during this unprecidented and crazy time!

Give Me Cosmetics - Eco Pads

3/26/2020

Hey Guys,
Wow it's been a long time since I have sat down to write a post, thing's have been a little crazy & definitely aren't showing signs of calming down especially with this pandemic we are all facing currently, please keep safe everyone! I will do a post soon with a life catch up!
But today I thought I would do a review on something that I have been loving!
Give me cosmetic Eco Pad re-usable make up remover. These retail for just £9,99 for 2.
Picture

I was realisied that I was using far too many wipes and cotton pads to remove excess make up and wanted to find a more sustainable way to remove make up.
These pads are amazing! They are super soft on your face, hold a lot of water and wipe away make up with no effort what so ever, you don't even need to use make up remover with them!
I sometimes do add a small amount of Clinique Take The Day Off balm for those extra glam days, just for ease.
I've been using them since January, they are still preforming just as well now as they did when I first got them & seem to have plenty of life left in them.
The website says you get 200 uses out of each pad, meaning they work out at less then 1p per use! What a bargain!
I highly recommend these, give them a full 10/10.
You just need water!

Until Next Time,

Concealer Clear Out

1/27/2020

Picture
Hey Guys,

It's 2020 and I'm on a massive clear out spree, nothing is safe!
So I thought why not show you my latest clear out! I went right through all of my concealers threw loads away and repurchased some!
So let's jump straight in!

1. Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer £20
This was one of the first concealers I tried and I actually repurchased a few times before I found ones that I preferred.
This concealer is lightweight , gives great coverage but is slightly drying.
It blends out beautifully, covers any imperfections and blurs the skin.
I wont be repurchasing just because I have over concealers I prefer now, but I still give it a decent score of 7/10

Picture

2. Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer £4
This concealer is definitely budget friendly and actually for the money isn't half bad.
It has an amazing range of shades for all types of skin tone.
The formula is definitely on the heavier side. and can settle in fine lines and crease it does however cover any impurities and dark circles.
If your in a pinch or need a budget friendly concealer this is definitely one that you can make work.
I wont personally be repurchasing and give it a 5/10.

Picture

3. Urban Decay All Nighter Concealer £20
I am not a fan of this concealer at all.
I find the formula very thick, hard to blend and it really accentuates fine lines, dryness.
Just like the foundation the concealer oxidised and ended up being far darker then when it was first applied.
Apart from the fact it is full coverage like advertised there is no saving grave in my opinion.
I give this a 1/10 and definitely will not be repurchasing.

Picture

4. Dior Diorskin Forever Undercover Concealer £22.50
This concealer is one of my favourites.
The formula is amazing!
It's full coverage without being heavy, it covers any dark circles or imperfections. It doesn't show up any fine lines.
It blends out perfectly and gives a flawless finish.
I will definitely repurchase this in the future. I give this a 9/10!

Picture

5. Colourpop No Filter Matte Concealer £5
Another budget friendly concealer with a large shade range.
The formula is medium to full coverage., it has a lovely brightening effect for the under eyes and doesn't show up any fine lines or wrinkles.
I would definitely repurchase and its a great one to have as a back up, I give this a 7/10

Picture

6. Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer £20
There's a good reason why this is such a fan favourite - it's because it's so blimen good!
The formula is lightweight, creamy and blends out beautifully.
It's full coverage and definitely covers my dark circles. It's hydrating and boasts some impressive ingredients.
I highly rate this, it completely covers my dark circles! I give it a full 10/10 and will be repurchasing!

Picture

7. Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra Longwear Concealer £25
This concealer didn't wow me as much as I wanted it to.
The shade range is seriously lacking and there are some major gaps, the shade I chose was 1N and it was still far to yellow.
It is a medium coverage concealer but it isn't very buildable as it starts to move the underneath layer.
I am not a fan and wont be repurchasing. I give this a 3/10

Picture

8. Urban Decay Concealer Pencil - Discontinued
There is probably a good reason that this concealing pencil has been discontinued - it sucked!
This wasn't one that you could use for a whole under eye but more to spot conceal and even then it was thick and slid around while you where trying to use it.
It wouldn't last throughout the day and I just don't like the way it preformed at all.
This get's a 0/10

Picture

9. Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer £24
I saved the best and my favourite till last!
This concealer is just amazing! The formula is lightweight, creamy yet full coverage. It covers my dark circles without a problem, lasts all day without creasing or settling into fine lines.
It's full coverage but you can layer it up for that full on glam, or just add a little to the under eye to brighten.
I highly recommend this concealer, it's well worth trying. I give it a full 10/10 & it will always be a part of my make up collection.
Picture

So there you have my collection, a lot got thrown away with only a few remaining; Nars, Tarte, Colourpop and Dior, the rest where thrown away ready for me to try some new ones out!

Hope you enjoyed the post!
For those that follow me on social media and are looking forward to the Jacyln Hill Highlighter Collection - it is coming, I'm still testing one of the products out, so keep an eye out for that!

Until Next Time,

My Current Beauty Favourite's

1/10/2020

Hey Guys,
I am back!! Happy New Year to you all!
I've been very quiet these last few months, after loosing my grandad, becoming very poorly myself and other family commitments, it left me struggling with my mental health, which I am still dealing with, but I feel ready to come back and enjoy blogging again.
It will be at a reduced rate to start with, with just 1 post a week for the time being. So let's jump into the first post of 2020!
My current beauty favourites. I thought about doing a end of year one but figured just a current favourites will show you everything I am loving atm!

1. Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask 30ml £20.50
This has been one of my favourite skincare items EVER!
You can use this in 2 different ways either as a mask that you rinse off after 15 minutes or as one that you leave over night and rinse of in the morning.
I tend to use it as a sleeping mask only as I like the way my skin feels the next day. My skin looks brightened, hydrated, plump and even glowing!
When you apply it, it feels very refreshing and has a nice gel consistency.
Only 2 little things with this one, you must make sure you mix the mask in the pot well before use as it does separate & if you apply to much it can sit on the skin a little to heavy, then when you touch it, it balls up and can rub off.
On the whole I highly recommend this product, it's well worth the money. the effects on my skin have been amazing both short term and long term.
If you'd like a more in depth review of this leave a comment down below!

Picture

2. Gelée Glow Multi Use Highlighter £6.50
This product is by BeautyBay themselves, normally I am not a gel or liquid highlighter fan but this one makes an amazing eyeshadow!
I have been loving using it in a cut crease., it applies evenly, it's smooth and packs a punch with the pigment.
You can definetly layer for more of an impact or apply a small amount for just a little glimmer.

Picture

3. OGX Coconut Miracle Oil & Argan Oil Of Morocco Hair Masks £7.99
I love looking after my hair and OGX hair masks are one of my favourite hair masks to use!
Both of these masks smell amazing, a little goes a long way, however because my hair is so long I get around 4 uses from a pot. Still not a bad deal for under £8!
I mask once a week to make sure my hair stays in good condition.
Both of these masks help to keep my hair hydrated, giving me soft, strong and shiny hair.
The coconut one slightly wins for me because it smells so good!

Picture

4. Going Coconuts & Brown Sugar Colourpop Cosmetics $12
I think colourpop has managed to create the most perfect couple of palettes recently my favourite being the Going Coconuts & Brown Sugar palette.
Their shadows are so pigmented, so buttery and easy to work with, They blend out like a dream, distrubute pigment evenly and easily.
They are long lasting and stay looking perfect from the moment of application to the moment you remove your make up!
Highly recommend colourpops eyeshadow for both professionals or for begginers!

5. Fenty Beauty Sun Stalk'r Bronzer £25
This is the bronzer of all bronzer's. For years I searched for a bronzer I actually liked without looking muddy but that still had pigment. Then this year it arrived in what must be my brand of the year.
This bronzer is pigmented, it lasts well on the skin, doesn't show texture. It's buildable and so versatile. I use it as a eyeshadow as well as a bronzer.
Check out my full review here.

6. Pat McGrath Skin Fetish Sublime Skin Highlighting Trio £38
Since getting this in the summer I have not been able to put it down!
It gives the skin the most beautiful glow, I love how pigmented all 3 shades are but that they are buildable to be absoloutely blinding(which I love)!
Check out my full review here.
Picture

7. Give Me Cosmetics Eco Pad Bundle £9.99
These are a newer love of mine, on the road to trying to become more sustainable with my beauty routine.
These are super soft on the face, they remove make up fairly easily, they are quick to use and you only need water to get them to work.
Then you pop them into the washing machine and they're like new!

Picture

8. Tangle Teezer - The Wet Detangler Hairbrush £12
Just when I thought tangle teezers couldnt get any better they come out with the new wet detangler hairbursh. This is perfect for my long hair, it helps to detangle without pulling or causing breakages.
Having a handle definitely helps when using it in the shower, brushing through treatments and then afterwards to detangle!
Everyone needs a tangle teezer in their life!

Picture

9. Ole Henriksen Lucky Pucker Lip Scrub £16
This smells like Christmas too me with its cinnamon flavour mixed with cocoa butter which gives of a gorgeous scent.
This has a very gentle exfoliation to the balm like stick, you can feel tiny little beads working to give your lips a very gentle exfoliation which I really like.
It gently removes any dead skin, which you can then wipe away or you can do a even smaller amount and let it melt into the skin.

Picture

So there you have some of my current favourites! This will defiantly continue to be a regular post, I love seeing what people are loving and hating, getting inspiration for new products!
I can't wait for you too see some of the new content I have coming up!

See you next week,

My Anti Wish List

10/28/2019

Hey Guys,
I am so excited for today's post as well as a little nervous as I'm not sure you guys will like it.
I got the idea from watching Laura Lee's recent YouTube video, where she does her make up while going through some new products that just don't do it for her.
So I thought why not do the same kind of thing, I love doing haul posts and sharing what make up is on my wish list, so I thought let's switch that up and look at some new make up that I don't want! So let's jump into my Anti Wish List!

1. Dior 5 Couleurs Happy 2020 Eyeshadow Palette £55

I am a massive Dior fan, their make up is of amazing quality but this eyeshadow palette just doesn't do it for me. The colour story confuses me, I wouldn't want this palette as it doesn't have a complete look within it. If I'm going for a small palette than it's going to be one I can get a full look from.
Picture

2. Celine Haute Perfume £260
Now dont get me wrong, I love my luxury perfumes which retail between £50-80 but 260? I just wouldnt!
Picture

3. Morphe x James Charles The Mini Palette £26
I wasn't excited for the original palette and I'm not excited about this one.
I understand that it's a mini palette but it just seems like a cope out, a way to get more money for the same thing.
Picture

4. La Mer The Glow Highlight Palette £75
I am all about highlight, it's my favourite make up product but this looks so lack lustre.
It's very pale so isnt going to suit many skintones & look at that price for a very small product that is descriped as giving light coverage.
It's a pass from me!
Picture

5. Roen 75° Warm Eyeshadow Palette £37
Doesn't this just look like every palette thats been out this year?
There is nothing special about this palette, nothing that draws me & nothing that i havent got in multiple other palettes.
Picture

6. Viseart Grande Pro 3 Eyeshadow Palette £147
I can't get over the price of this palette! It's crazy expensive, I know it is a professional brand but with the beauty market being so large now & with amazing quality for the lesser expensive brands ( Hello Colourpop ) I just would never go for such an expensive palette. Not too mention this isn't my cup of tea, far too many bright colours for me, which I find intimidating!
Picture
7. Eyeko Galactic Lid Gloss £15
I really do not understand the glossy eyelid trend, I just don't like the way it looks, it can't be comfortable to wear? Maybe I'm showing my age!
Picture

8. Kat Von D 'Alchemist' Mini Holographic Highlighter £10
This product is ridiculous - there doesn't seem to be much point to me? Only 0.9g of product is smaller than most eyeshadow sizes let alone a highlighter.
Picture

9. M2BEAUTE Eyelash activating serum £128
Supposedly if used daily this serum will give you full, long lashes. Do I believe that? No and i certainly wouldn't be paying over a hundred pounds to find out!
Picture

So there we have some products that I'm just not excited about.
I am not by any means saying they are bad products or that you shouldn't go out and buy them. They're just some products that I wouldn't spend my money on.
I realy enjoyed going through new releases and actually paying attention to some different type of products then I normally look out for!
Let me know if you liked this post as I would definetly do it again!

Until Next Time

Hey Guys!
I am so excited for todays review!
I have finally got around to it, after having a hard time over summer and taking a step back,  I'm back with a review on Pat Mc Grath's Skin Fetish Sublime Skin Highlighting Trio.! I'm hoping to catch up on some of the products I've been testing out and give you some reviews!
You can now buy Pat McGrath straight from their website to the UK without shipping or duty taxes. This trio retails for £38.
Let's jump straight into the review.
Picture

This gorgeous highlighting palette contains 3 shades; Iridescent Pink 003. Fine Gold 003 & Bronze Nectar.

Iridescent Pink 003 is a duo chrome pink-purple.
Fine Gold 003 is a cool white gold-silver metallic finish.
Nectar Gold is a warm tone yellow gold shade.

The formula is outstanding, it's very lightweight, silky smooth and applies easily without showing up any texture or pores.
It applies smoothly, evenly and lasts all day, looking perfect until the moment you take it off.

I have a medium skin tone and all shades show up beautifully on my skintone. They all have some serious pigment but can be applied with a light hand for a lighter glow and built up to be really blinding.
The pigmentation allows either the fresh faced barely there glow to the all out, out of this word glow.
It's easily buildable without looking too cakey or like you've got lots of powder on your face.
The shades are very wearable, can be used individually or mixed together for a unique glow.

Picture
Make up using Iridescent Pink 003 and Fine Gold 003 mixed together.

Over all this highligher has to be one of my all time favourites!
I love the shades, they're all perfect for my medium skintone and very wearable.
The pigment is outstanding, the formula is lightweight and wearable. It doesnt show any texture, it's buildable without looking powdery on the face and its longwearing.
I give this a full 10/10 and highly recommend to anyone who's after a new highlighter or to add to the collection!

Until Next Time,

Benefit Cookie Highlighter

Hey Guys!

Today's post is all about Benefits Fall launch of the Cookie Powder Highlighter. This was previously in the Cheerleader palette which launched earlier this year and due to popular demand Benefit released in their iconic boxed powder range.
Picture
This highlighter is a gorgeous champagne golden shade. and would be universally flattering to all skin tones,
The formula of this highlighter is gorgeous, it is lightweight and silky, it applies like a 2nd skin. The formula delivers a smooth, highly pigmented glow that doesn't bring attention to any texture, can be built up to be extremely blinding without becoming cakey.

Picture
I highly recommend this highlighter. I love benefit's box range, their packaging is always eye catching, I like that it has a small mirror.
The formula is lightweight, applies like a dream, lasts all day and is absolutely blinding, I've had so many compliments when wearing this!
The price is £26 for 8g of product, which is a fair price point!
I give this 10/10 and its definitely one I would repurchase when I hit pan!
I hope they make a mini to travel with!

Colourpop Haul & First Impressions

7/5/2019

Hey Guys,
Today's post is a huge colourpop haul!
I was lucky enough to have a huge haul bought for me for my birthday from both my partner and mum!
I was so excited to get my hands on some more of their products as I had made a small purchase the year before and fell in love with their supershock eyeshadows.
So let's jump in and see what I got and what I thought!

Crème Lux Lipsticks
Disney Villains Hades & Dr Facilier
These lipsticks are absolutely gorgeous. Hades is a gorgeous neutral peachy nude and Dr Facilier is a warm berry tone.
Make up and Disney combined is a instant hit with me! The packaging is so eye catching with the neon outlines.
They apply with ease and are so soft and feel luxurious on the lips. They aren't drying and are very full coverage with just one swipe.
They retail for around £5 - I cant get over the price point for such great quality!

Brown Sugar Pressed Powder Eyeshadow Palette
I think this palette may actually be one of my favourite EVER!
It has such wearable shades. It's so versatile for natural make up days or those really glam nights.
They are full of pigment and are so user friendly that this palette would suit anyone from a professional make up artist to a newbie just trying out looks.
Highly recommend this palette for everyone!
It retails for around £9 which works out a pound a shade!!

Picture

The Lion Loose Pigment - Kathleen Lights
This pigment is a true yellow gold. Retailing for around £4.4
This is one of the only products I received that I was disappointed with.
When swatched there really wasn't any pigmentation to it, it's more a golden glitter. That doesn't really show up, its very lacklustre and underwhelming. So I wouldnt recommend this product.
Picture
Super Shock Highlighter
Disney Villain Collection Cruella & Evil Queen.
First of all the packaging again - it is so well done and so eye catching. I love it!
I went with 2 different shades "Fairest of All" which is a champagne gold and "You Idiots! You Fools! You Imbeciles" which has a mixture of copper and silver flecks.
This formula is amazing,, it feels so buttery and soft. The pigmentation is very blinding, they don't show up texture and blends into the skin so effortlessly.
I love these just for the packaging alone but the fact they are beautiful shades are a bonus! Another product I recommend!

It's A Princess Thing Pressed Powder Eyeshadow Palette
This palette is definitely the star of the show! From the gorgeous princess packaging to the shades and quality.
I am completely in love with this palette.
The shades are right up my street with some really gorgeous natural shades.
The quality of the shadows again is outstanding. They're pigmented and , they blend with ease and are easy to use and manipulate.
I still can't get over the quality of the shadows for the price! Truly amazing! Highly recommend & at around £16 its' a bargain!

Super Shock Shadow
These are what started my love affair with Colourpop, I ordered a few of these last year and fell in love with how well they performed.
These new shadows did not disappoint. From the Disney shade "So This Is Love" to my favourite transition shade "Hanky Panky".
They blend out so beautifully and give off such amazing pigmentation. They are a pleasure to work with and I love the sparkles!
They retail for just £3.50 - you can't go wrong!
The shade selection is huge and I cannot wait to add more shades to my collection!

Supernova Shadow
Zoella Collaboration - OG
I've only used this once but I really like the way it applied, it dried down quickly and without creasing on the eyelid.
The shade is a golden champagne which looks slightly pink.
It retails for just £4.50.
It isn't quite on the same level as Stila's Magnificent Metal shadows but for the price it's still very good quality!

Picture

So there you have my recent haul from Colourpop with my first impressions.
I will definitely do a more in depth review of some of the items like the Disney " It's A Princess Thing" eyeshadow palette.
I highly recommend trying colourpop. They have so many amazing products at such a good price range, they are so affordable and the quality is to rival high end luxury brands!

Until Next Time,

April, May & June Favourite's

6/26/2019

Hey Guys,

It's time for my second favourites of the year! I Cannot believe we are half way through the year already!
This favourite's is crammed full of make up and beauty products, it's my birthday in May I received lots of amazing products! So let's jump straight in and see what made the cut!

My favourite is probably one of the less exciting in terms of new make up but its a staple item that everyone needs in their kit and that's Fenty's setting powder
Fenty's Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Setting Power retails for £24 and is available from both Boots & Harvey Nichols
I love that just like most products in Rihanna's line its all inclusive with 8 different shades of setting powder.
This set's my make up like no other powder I have used, gives a beautiful natural brightening look for under the eyes while keeping it looking perfect for the whole day. I will be doing a full review on this in the next few weeks!
Picture

My second favourite on the list is another Fenty product, their bronzer!
I was lucky enough to have this as a gift from my best friend & I am completely in love.
I went for the shade "Shady Biz" as I like it to add a little depth to my skin and warm my skin tone up without it looking muddy or too harsh.
This is available again at both Boots & Harvey Nichols.
This bronzer applies beautifully, the pigmentation is insane and lasts all day!
For my full review click here!
Picture

Third on my list is Smasbox's latest collab with The Hood Witch. The Cystalized highlighter in the shade Opti-Mystic.
This highlighter gives the most gorgeous glow. It applies so smoothly without showing any texture up, almost looks like a second skin & just lays perfectly.
This shade is a little different for me as I don't often go towards the pink highlights but I am so glad I got it as a gift for my birthday.
If you'd like a full review on this item leave me a comment below or head o over to my Instagram.

Next up on my list one of my favourite hair care brands OGX.
Their Orchid Color Protect Oil. This spray is available from Superdrug, Boots & Amazon.
I love this spray! I love that this protect your hair from harsh UVA/UVB rays, it helps to protect your hair colour, gives you a beautiful shine and helps keep your hair hydrated.
Although this is a oil it isn't heavy, it doesn't weigh your hair down or make the hair greasy. You just need to be sure to spray a good distance away from the hair and the mister itself sprays nice and evenly.
Highly recommend this product to help keep your hair looking salon fresh!
Picture

This next item is probably my most used item of the month make up wise, just because I have loved creating different eye looks with this palette!
The Colourpop Brown Sugar Palette which retails for $12 around £9
It has 9 beautiful nude to brown shades. All super pigmented, the quality is what you expect for luxury brands. It is so easy to work with and such a dream to work with. I can see me hitting pan on these shadows they are that good!
Highly recommend trying out their palettes, they are so affordable and the quality is outstanding.
See below for the look I created at the weekend using this palette.

Next up we have Pixi's Rose Tonic.
I recently grabbed this while it was one sale at Boots but its available at several different stores.
I'm so glad that I grabbed this, I much prefer this toner to the other Pixi toners I have tried in the past.
This isn't too strong, it doesn't strip away my natural oils or irritate my sensitive skin at all.. It doesn't dry the skin out like previous toners and it smells gorgeous!
Highly recommend if your looking for a new toner and you have sensitive skin..

Picture

Next is another hair care product, this time by MAUI Moisture.
I have tried 2 of their hair masks over the last few months both the Revive & Hydrate Shea Butter Hair Mask and the Strength & Anti Breakage Agave Hair Mask.
Both of these masks are amazing. I love to use a mask every other hair wash, it helps to keep it looking and feeling fresh, hydrated and silky soft!
They smell amazing and last on the hair for days!

Picture

Coming to the end of the list we have Bath and Soaps UK.
I absolutely love their products!
I was kindly gifted some items in May and have absolutely loved trying their products out especially their artisan soaps. They smell amazing and they're so gentle on sensitive skin!
Be sure to use code KL10 for 10% site wide!

The last item of my favourites is a face mask which I was bought for my birthday by my bestie.
The Aladdin peel of glitter mask. Available from Primark.
I was excited to get this because I am such a huge Disney fan and Aladdin has always been my favourite! But when I tried this out and it actually worked I was happily surprised.
It peels off all in one go which is a rarity for peel off masks.
It does pull all your little hairs out so did make my eyes water a little but my skin afterwards felt so smooth, felt clean and brightened.
It's so affordable and it works, so I highly recommending grabbing some Primark masks and giving them a go!
Plus the packaging is beautiful!

There you have my latest beauty favourites. Products I have been loving the last few months!
I still have lots of new products to try out and there is always new launches so be sure to keep an eye out in September for my next favourites post!
Be sure to let me know what products you've been loving down in the comments!

5 Product's I Regret Buying

6/23/2019

Hey Guys,

Today's post was inspired by SLMissglam , who is the sweetest young lady you'll meet. I absolutely love her content & while I was watching her most recent Fashion Friday video (Check it out here)where she talks about 5 purchases she now regrets and it made me think about all the make up I purchase and what, if any was a disappointment. Which led me to this list, so let's jump in and see what products I wish I hadn't bothered with!

1. Dior Rouge Liquid Lipstick -  515 Scandalous Metal - £30
This regret is completely my own fault. While attending a Dior Masterclass last year I got carried away buying products and loved the bronzed deep metallic shade.
However 18 months later and I haven't used it once! It really is a beautiful formula, it sits nicely on the lips, the formula isn't drying and I would 100% recommend the actual lipstick.
I think it's time this went into the bin!

Picture
2. Nars Man Ray Highlighter - Christmas 2017
When I saw this highlighter last Christmas I knew I had to add it to the collection. It looked absolutely beautiful!
So when I opened it on Christmas day I was so excited, off I went to do my Christmas day make up, (everybody does this right?!)
My god was I disappointed! It gives you hardly any payoff, it doesn't show up on the skin at all, I had to really layer up and even then it gave me a barely there highlight, not the look I like!

Picture
3. Morphe 39A Dare To Create Artistry Palette - £35
This palette looks amazing at first glance , a neutral dream, with different colour stories to create endless looks.
I just do not reach for it, It's a chunky palette so it isn't a travel friendly palette. The formula is just "Ok" it doesn't blow me away. Compared to other palettes the quality just isn't up there for me.
Il definitely be donating this too a friend or family.
Picture
4. Urban Decay All Nighter Concealer - £20
I was out of concealer and so I grabbed this one & I wish I hadn't,
This concealer is thick, I mean really thick. It covers really well but my gosh you can barely move your face with this product.
It settles in fine lines and really shows them up, it creases under the eye and oxidises really badly!

Picture
5. Artist Couture Diamond Glow - Coco Bling - £21
Every time you see this highlighter on people online they are absolutely glowing to the gods, it looks like the perfect highlighter..
So when Beauty Bay started to stock the brand I was so excited.
Before I even applied it my god did it get me in a mess.
It applies nicely but it is so chunky with glitter and doesn't really look like a highlighter but rather a glitter pot. If you try to work it in it just disperses and your left with nothing on the skin.
I don't recommend this highlighter at all.

Picture

I hope you've enjoyed this post which was inspired by SL Miss Glam.
I think I could of found more products that would of been added but these are the most disappointing products I own.
Do you have any make up regrets? Let me know down below!

Bath Time With Bath & Soaps Uk

6/18/2019

Hey Guys,

Today's post is all about a wonderful little company called Bath & Soaps. They reached out to me asking I would like to try some of their products in exchange for a honest review 7 I jumped at the chance, because who doesn't love to have a luxurious and relaxing bath?
I had such a hard time deciding which products I wanted to try as they have such a large variety of inviting products from artisan soaps to bath soufflé's.

This brand has been built up by a lovely couple who are both healthcare professionals that have a brand built up by themselves to give their customers "a time out".
I don't know about you, but I love it when you know your supporting small businesses and companies, that work hard and you can tell that there is a real love & passion for what they do.
So let's jump into the review!

Picture
Double Butter Luxury Soap - Herbaceous Oil - £4.50
I was so excited for this one as it included Shea and Cocoa butter. and it did not disappoint. I think this was my favourite item that I received.
I have sensitive skin and this was so gentle on my skin, not only did it cleanse gently but it left my skin feeling soft, nourished and really moisturised.
I highly recommend this product not only because it's a gorgeous product but it would be amazing for those that have sensitive skin.

Shea Butter Soufflé Oriental Musk - £2.55
This soufflé was a really good size and dissolved nicely,it took a while but it fully broke down without leaving the bath gritty and uncomfortable.
It really did relax me,
My skin felt amazing after my bath, the scent was gorgeous and was really long lasting.. I would definitely repurchase this item!

Picture
Shea Butter Olive Oil Artisan Soap Slice  £4.45
This is another beautiful artisan soap. My skin felt amazing after using this, so soft!
It didn't aggravate my sensitive skin, it really helped with any dry areas that I had.
The properties for this are amazing, it claims to help prevent ageing skin and wrinkles, prevents desquamation, improves elasticity and soothes skin, sounds like the perfect allrounder for me!
Definitely another product that I will be purchasing!

Sleepy Head Bath Bomb With Bath Salts - £2.85
This bath bomb is a great size and the first thing I noticed was the scent - it was amazing. It gave a great fizz and doesn't leave that horrible gritty feeling that so many do.
I felt very relaxed after having my bath and definitely put me in a good head space for going to bed.

Picture

All in all this company has so many gorgeous handmade products at such a reasonable price with the quality to rival Lush! ( Don't get me wrong I like Lush products but I would much rather support a family ran company like this one! )
I will definitely be making regular purchases from them to keep stocked up plus there are so many more products I need to try!
Be sure to visit their website, have a look around and make a few purchases to support such a lovely couple!
If you do make a purchase be sure to use my discount code; KL10 for 10% off the whole website.

Fenty Beauty Sun Stalk'r Instant Warmth Bronzer Review

6/5/2019

Hey Guys,
Today's review is on one of the newer bronzers to hit the market, Fenty Beauty's Sun Stalk'r Instant Warmth Bronzer in the shade Shady Biz
I was luckily enough to be given this for my birthday from my bestie, Bronzers was one thing I was lacking within my vast collection of make up.
Available at both Harvey Nichols and now Boots, retailing for £23.

Picture

Firstly I love the packaging! Like other powder products it has an octagonal shape. This has a gorgeous copper mirrored shade. There's a good quality mirror on the inside and all in all it feels solid and of nice quality.

This bronzer comes in 8 different shades, that's right 8! Just like her foundations and concealers Rihanna has paved the way for bronzers to more inclusive. It means that it's no longer a one size fits all, it now caters too those with very fair skin and those with deeper tones.
I'm lucky enough that quite a few would work with my olive skin tone but I went for Shady Biz as I like my bronzer to just warm my skin tone a little, I don't like anything to harsh or noticeable. No one wants to look like they've rubbed mud on their face!

I am loving this bronzer! It has great pigmentation ( so again like the Aladdin x Mac Collection go in with a gentle hand until you're used to the product. )
Going in with a lighter hand you can still build it up nicely to go deeper, without it looking cakey.

It performs so well, it blends into the skin beautifully, it applies smoothly. It lasts on the skin all day, looking beautiful throughout the day. You don't get kick up from the pan which is a plus.

It is a matte formula which I prefer and think is best when you are buying a bronzer. There is no scent to the formula either which again is another plus.

My final thoughts;
I give it a full 10/10. This is a real contender for my favourite bronzer tried EVER.
The pigmentation, the formula and the way it performs are just all perfect for me. I highly rate the Fenty Bronzer and would recommend it too anyone who was looking for a new matte bronzer.

Picture
The look below was using the bronzer too warm the face. Natural but effective.

The Disney Aladdin Mac Collection Review Part 2

5/29/2019

Hey Guys,

Today's review is a continuation from the weekends review on Mac X Aladdin Princess Jasmine's Palette, but this time we are looking at the Bronzer and Highlighter from the collection.

They are advertised on the their website as powder blushes but they definitely perform like a bronzer and highlighter.

Picture

First up we have the Bronzer which is named Your Wish Is My Command.
This bronzer is a gorgeous medium to dark brown with warm undertones and a matte finish.

The formula is very soft and smooth to the touch. The brush picks up a lot, a lot of product so I would recommend going in with a lighter hand to start with.
It applies beautifully and evenly. It lasted a good 8 hours and still looked perfect come the end of the day.

I definitely recommend this product. The way it stays looking perfect throughout the whole day. The price point, the packaging is beautiful.
The shade is just right for my olive skin, it's buildable and I think it would really suit a lot of different skin tones.

Picture
Next up we have Always One Jump Ahead the highlighter of the collection. This highlighter is beautiful and my favourite item from the collection (no surprise there).

The formula is buttery, smooth, light and creamy. It applies beautifully and is opaque, with a really good coverage. It is blinding right from the get go but can be built up to be really out there.
It didn't show any texture or pores up, it was so luminous but blended in beautifully with my other make up.

It lasted a good 8 hours on my skin, it had started to face into my skin slightly by the end of the day but nothing that would worry me.
This beautiful highlighter is like a champagne gold and looked amazing on my medium/olive skin;. I think it may a little to dark for lighter skin tones but would work well with tan to dark.

All in all this gets another 10/10 for me. I highly recommend if your a highlighter fan or a Disney collector! From the shade to the formula it's definitely the star of the show!

Picture

I was so happy with the way that these products performed after the disaster of the eyeshadow palette.
They both have amazing pigmentation, they perform really well & the formula is so buttery!
One of my favourite thing's is the packaging, from the outer packaging to the compact, it's just beautiful.
If you're looking for a beautiful gold highlighter or a golden matte bronzer these are definitely worth it, if you are a huge Disney fan or a make up collector these are pieces that will look amazing in your collection.

Until Next Time,

The Disney Aladdin Collection -The Princess Jasmine Palette

5/25/2019

Hey Guys,

Today's post is the first of 2 on the Mac X Disney Aladdin Collection. The first one I have focused on just The Princess Jasmine Palette.
I was so excited for this launch, Aladdin is my favourite Disney film and then to have it with make up - I was in heaven!
That was until I swatched it, I have never been disappointed in a product before let alone a Mac product. So let's jump into the review,
Picture
The packaging is absolutely gorgeous. It's completely in theme with new film (which if you haven't seen it yet, you need to! It's a must see!) It really does have gorgeous packaging, but it feels very cheap, very light and a lot smaller than it looks online.
Picture
This palette has 9 shades;
♡No Ordinary Lamp - Light Rose
♡Creative Copper - Peachy Gold with Gold Shimmer
♡Agrabah - Cool Rose
♡Riffraff - Mauve
♡Rags To Riches - Pale Gold Frost
♡Life The Genie Life - Gunmental Silver
♡Princess Jasmine - Duochrome Blue Green with Red Undertone.
♡Abu! - Plum with Red Pearl
♡Shadowy Lady - Blackened Plum

These shadows are just a disaster.
To get swatches it took me so many swipes to build anything up for you too see.
As you can see, some barely show up, some even when I have built them up are patchy & this was just to get them to swatch on the hands.

So I decided to bite the bullet and still give it ago, but just as I thought when swatching it was just pure disappointment.
Riffraff was the only one I was able to apply without it being too much trouble. It blended nicely with a bit of work it built up and looked fairly good.
The rest of the shadows where very dry, didn't blend out nicely, had no pigmentation and then when you try to build them up there was a lot of fall out, they became uneven and would knock the first layer off.
They where horrible to work with, the shimmers felt almost gritty on the eye, they didn't adhere well even when using different primers.

I would give this a 1/10 and that's only because I like the palette's front design on the packaging. I don't recommend this palette and since writing this I have actually returned the palette to get a refund and I very rarely do that!

Keep an eye out for my next Mac x Aladdin Collection which features both the Always One Jump Ahead Blush/Highlighter & Your Wish Is My Command Bronzer coming this week.
Until Then,

Project Pan - My Edition

5/8/2019

Hey Guys,

So this year I have noticed a few different variations of people doing project pan - where they've been using up some of their existing products. So I thought I'm gonna give this a go, but do it my own way.
I decided at the beginning of the year I wanted to try and use some of my products up rather than just keep adding all the time.

So I sat down and had a thought and decided that because it's my birthday this weekend (12th May) and I'm going to be turning 28 that I would pick 28 of my products and give myself until my next birthday to try and get down to the pan or to empty the product.
I will revisit this in a year and do a recap post , letting you know how I go and what happened! I will of course keep you up to date on my social media when I finish products and so on.

Jess Wright's Poundland Face Mask

5/6/2019

Hey Guys,
Today's post is a is it even worth a £1 type post!
As some of you may seen Jess Wright a former Towie star has launched some products in collaboration with Poundland.
When I saw this new collection I knew I wanted to test it out and see if it was even worth its £1 price tag, which I mean it must be worth a pound right?!
I decided to try the sheet mask out as I'm not one for fake tan.
So let's jump in to the review and see if it was worth it!

Picture
First up is the packaging, I really like the blush pink/nude theme, the instructions are easy to follow and were clearly printed.

This face mask has a slight skincare scent, nothing to over powering which I was glad about, as some of the more reasonable sheet masks can smell quiet overpowering with a chemical scent.
The first thing I noticed was that it was absolutely soaking with serum. I got in quiet a mess putting it on and by the end of it had serum dripping down my neck, all over my hands, luckily it dries down into the skin without leaving a sticky residue.
I left the mask on for 15 minutes and by the end of it the mask was bone dry. It started to dry down after about 10 minutes.

After removing the mask my skin had a very small amount of serum left which I left to soak into the skin.
I could tell that I had, had the mask on for a little while after but within the hour it had worked into the skin and I couldn't tell anything was on my face.
However I really didn't notice any difference in my face at all, it did feel hydrated immediately after use but it soon disappeared.
The next day I didn't see any difference in my skin. It still looked and felt the same.

So my final thoughts, I personally wouldnt buy this face mask again, its not that its particularly bad, it's just that it did nothing for me and this day in age when you can grab a bargain sheet mask from many different brands, it just isn't worth it to me.
Yes if you're in Poundland or you have a teenager that wants a pamper without using anything to strong on their face, this would be perfect and of course the price point, you cant argue or be disappointed when it's only a pound!
It get only 3/10 for me and that's only for the packaging, that the scent isn't too much and that for a little while after it felt hydrating.

I hope you've enjoyed this quick review and keep your eyes peeled for a few more skincare posts this month!

Until Next Time,

January, February & March Favourites

4/7/2019

Hey guys,

Today's post is a favourites posts, at the end of last year I decided to swap from a monthly favourites to a 3 monthly favourite, I was finding that in a month I was not trying enough new products to make a decent favourites post, so I wanted to take some of the pressure of and swap it to every 3 months. Giving me more of a fancy to try new products and also to be able to test them out for a while before reviewing them.

So lets jump straight in and take a look at the last few months favourites.

1. Huda New Nude Palette £56
I was lucky enough to receive this from my other half as a Christmas present and I haven't been able to put it down!
This truly is one of the most beautiful palettes I have ever owned. It has 18 shades, 10 mattes, 4 duo-chromes, 2 pressed glitters, 1 pressed pearl and a concealer base.
The matte shadows are so buttery, they're formulated with aloe vera and coconut oil, the duo chromes are very reflective and the glitters really pack a punch.
This palette is truly beautiful, it isn't your typical nude which I love. It contains very wearable shades, from golden glitters to mauve and taupe, beige neutrals.
The shadows are buildable , blend out gorgeous and are easy to work with. They're highly pigmented with the only downside being that there can be a little fall out although nothing that would put me off using it.
I highly recommend this palette, although it is on the pricier side you do get a lot of product for the money.

2. Body Shop Hemp Hand Cream/Protector £5-12
A little goes a really long way with this hand cream. Within a few uses I could feel the difference, my hands where so soft, moisturised and smooth.
It does have a fairly thick consistency making it more like a balm then a lotion.
It doesn't make my skin feel greasy after use, like most hand creams.
This is definitely a new favourite taking over from L'Occitane's Shea Butter hand cream.
The only slight down fall is the scent, it smells quite strong like a mixture of natural medicine and incense, but the results are good enough for me to overlook the scent.

Picture

3 Fudge Professional Clean Blonde Shampoo £4.95 - 13.95
This shampoo is perfection! It keeps my blonde from going brassy and yellow. I only need to use it every 3-4 weeks, if I use it any more than that my hair starts to turn purple.
If I need to do a real brighten up I apply it to dry hair and leave it on for 7-10 minutes, my hair really absorbs the product and comes up looking brighter and lighter!
A little goes a long way and you don't need much when you use it.
Highly recommend for anyone wanting to keep their blonde looking tip top!
I also like their other products!

4. Yes To Cucumbers Soothing Wipes £2-4
These wipes are perfect for removing make up, dirt and anything inbetween. They're extremely refreshing, which I love! They don't leave my skin sticky or tacky which is one of the main things I look for in wipes.
Your face always feels clean after using them, they're always really moist, thanks to the plastic lift lid which snaps closed after use.
A really good wipe, with good properties and they're hypoallergenic and biodegradable.!

Picture

5. Make Up Revolution Crushed Pearl Pigments £4
These crushed peal pigments come in little square shaker tubes & are so easy to use.
These pigments are finely-milled and really give you a high impact look on the eyes.
It's best used with a glitter glue, to give you the full vavavoom.
For £4 you really cannot go wrong with these, they're travel friendly. can be used to layer over other eyeshadows or on their own for a less polished look, if you're in a rush or want a easy look.

Picture

6. Superdrug Vitamin E Leave On Mask £2.99
The consistency is slightly thicker but I apply this generously and leave it to work itself in overnight. I use this maybe twice a week and since using it, I have noticed how nourished and supply my skin is.
After washing my face the next morning and making sure I remove all traces of the mask, my face always feels extra soft and my make up applies like a dream .
I do love using sleep masks, I like that while I'm asleep they're working their magic!
This one I highly recommend , it costs just £2.99 and you get 100mls of product, I have just repurchased and got my 2nd tub!
Picture

7. Glamglow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer £36
This moisturiser really goes hydrate your skin, when applied it gives you a glow to the skin, which if applied before foundation leaves your skin looking very dewy.
The scent is like chocolate orange but isn't too much.
It stops my skin looking tired and dull but instead gives it a renewed brightness and mega hydrating.
Picture

8. Marc Jacobs O!Mega Highlighter
I was lucky enough to get this highlighter from my best friend for Christmas. It truly is one of the most stunning highlighters I have seen.
It blends into the skin effortlessly and without showing any texture or pores.
It's truly blinding when applied but can be blended out for a more subtle glow.
I cant recommend this enough!

B06 Tall Tapered Brush
B04 - Small Angled Blender Brush
A18 - Oval Concealer Brush
A12 Fluffy Pencil Brush
A17 - Angled Brow Brush
The 5 eye brushes including in the set.

My favourite brushes from this set are B04 the small angled blender, it's so fluffy, it picks product up easily and fits nicely into the crease. Blending eyeshadow beautifully & with ease.
Another favourite is the A12 fluffy pencil, I love this brush for adding depth to the crease when doing a smokey eye.
In fact the eye brushes in this set definitely win the show for me, they perform so well and feel beautiful in the hand.

Picture
A10 Small Fan Brush

Not only are these brushes absolutely beautiful an aesthetically pleasing but they feel great in the hand and on the skin.
Vegan and cruelty free, all spectrum brushes are made with synthetic hair, they work equally aswell with both creams and powder products.
They clean easily and do not shed which is a major plus for me. They have held their shape and still look brand new after several washes after a few weeks of use.

Picture

All in all 100% would recommend these or any Spectrum brushes for that matter. Although the Disney sets are slightly higher in price they are well worth it for any Disney fans, The packaging and attention to detail is amazing.
These brushes preform better than most I have tried. I will definitely be adding more Spectrum brushes to my collection in the future.
I've used each brush from this set which is rare as usually there are a few in each set that are redundant.
This set is truly beautiful from the velour dust bag , the pearl embellished shell and its gorgeous sparkly handles!
This set gets a 10/10 for me and I highly recommend these brushes to anyone looking to add new ones to their collection.

Until Next Time,

My Top 10 Highlighters

2/13/2019

Hey Guys,
Today's post is all about my top 10 highlighters from my extensive collection and carries on from my earlier post where we discussed "Disappointing Highlighters".
I am even more excited about this post because who doesn't want to glow to the gods! After trying out different highlighters over the years I have been able to come up with my top 10 of all time.
Be sure to give my Instagram a follow; Pr1ncesskayleigh for a chance to win my number 1 highlighter in an up and coming giveaway!

Picture
At number 10 we have Urban Decay X Kristen Leanne palette called Beauty Beam. There is 3 shades in the palette and they are all gorgeous. The palette is very pigmented. The formula doesn't show up texture and melts into the skin to give a gorgeous glow. The palette is perfect for travelling as there are 3 shades that can be used separately or combined to create different shades.

Next at number 9 we have Kat Von D 10 Year Anniversary Metal Crush Extreme Highlighter Gold Skool.
This is an unusual one for me to like as its very heavily glittered. The formula of this highlighter is insane, it's very blinding and the glitter shift is gorgeous under different lights and always looks beautiful! It's nor as smooth as some formulas but it doesn't show up texture and does give the appearance of melting into the skin.

Picture

8th on the list is Jouer's Citrine. This highlighter is slightly more subtle and gives a really gorgeous natural glow, unless you want more in which case you can build it up to be a more substantial glow without it looking cakey.
I really like the light gold shimmer of this highlighter. They're a really reasonable price at under £20.

At 7th on the list is another Jouer highlighter called Skinny Dip this has the same formula as the Citrine but is a darker golden tone.. It applies beautifully and looks like a second skin.

Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop made it in at number 6. This highlighter really bought highlighting back into the headlights and became a best sellers.
As soon as you use it you can see why it was a popular choice. The formula is so creamy it glides onto the skin without drawing attention to texture or pores. The glow is very reflective and catches the light to give you a blinding glow that looks like a second skin. The highlighter is a universal flattering with shades that would suit all skin tones.

Picture

Going into the top 5 we have Smashbox X Vlada which came out last year. The shade gilded rose is a pale golden highlighter with a light catching sheen that's slightly rose gold.
This highlighter is on the more natural side but because of it's incredibly smooth formula is applies beautifully and sits very naturally meaning you can build the highlighter without it becoming cakey. It looks beautiful on the skin and catches the light.
Not only is it a beautiful highlighter but the packaging is probably the most beautiful I have seen, not only the outer packaging but the actual highlighter pan is a rose & just looks beautiful!

4th up we have Anastasia Beverly Hills x Amrezy which came out on Valentines day last year & instantly became a favourite of not just mine but by all that tried it. I LOVE this highlighter and it was my go to for most of last year.
From the moment you see the highlighter in the pan the 3d wave pattern is eye catching.
This highlighter gives you a perfect glow which can start subtly and build up to be a beautiful, luminous glow.
This highlighter is a very light gold with a slight champagne undertone, it will be universally flattering to all skin tones. This formula melts into the skin and makes the skin looks glossy.

Picture

3rd on the list is Ofra Pillow Talk a beautiful soft pearl pink highlighter. The texture of this highlighter is fine and blends onto the skin seamlessly.
This highlighter like all Ofra highlighter is extremely pigmented, it doesn't take a lot to be blinding, it doesn't need to be built up at all, it applies with a bang straight away.
This highlighter is fairly light and would look best on light to medium skin tones, although those with medium skin tones should apply with caution.
The only hang up with the highlighter is that there is a little bit of kick back but nothing that you cant overlook for the quality of the highlighter.

Picture

The runner up but a very close second is a fairly new addition to my collection, Marc Jacobs Beauty O!Mega Glaze All Over Foil Luminizer.
Although I have only had this for a couple of months it fast became a favourite. I've reached for it every time I've done my make up recently.
This highlighter is a warm peachy gold but as you catch the light it shifts colour from the warm peachiness to a gorgeous gold. It has some shimmer to it but isn't  too much or over bearing and the highlight still melts into your skin.
This is a buildable highlighter but doesn't look cakey when you add more layers to make it blinding.
This is definitely for medium to darker skin tones.
The packaging is gorgeous and hosts an amazing mirror for when your on the go.

Picture

At the top of the list and at my number 1 spot is Ofra Rodeo Drive.
This highlighter is just perfection to me!
It is a gorgeous soft sun-kissed golden highlighter.
This shares the same formula as Pillow talk. Finely milled powder which means when applied melts into the skin giving the most beautiful glow, like a second skin.
Ofra highlighters pigmentation is second to none and a little goes a long way. The formula really is the best on the market. This highlighter is not for those that like a natural or subtle glow.
I cannot wait to add more Ofra highlighters to my ever growing collection.
Check out the glow it gives below!

So there you have it, my top 10 highlighters from my collection. I'd love to say I will use all of these up but I just cannot help myself when it comes to buying new highlighters, they are after all my favourite part of doing my make up!
If you have any suggestions for me to add to my collection then let me know!

Disappointing Highlighters

2/8/2019

Hey Guys,

Today's post is all about disappointing highlighters, every now and then I come across products that just don't live up to the hype. I don't like to focus on to much negativity but people definitely need to know whether things work or not don't they?
I asked on Instagram and on Marc Jacobs O!Mega Highlighter review if you wanted to see a post on my highlighter collection and I thought why not split it into 2 different post's. This one all about disappointing highlighters and another on my top 10 highlighters. ( which is to follow )
So without further ado lets jump in and talk about those highlighters that where a major flop for me.

Picture

1. Nars X Man Ray
This is probably the most disappointing of all the highlighters I have tried as I had such high expectations. This was past of the Holiday collection in 2017 and when it was revealed online it looked beautiful .I was so excited to receive it for Christmas that was until I used it, when applied it was dull with no sparkle or shine. It looked heavy on the cheeks and so powdery, it just didn't deliver and looked nothing like the highlight they advertised.

2. Barry M Liquid Chrome Highlighter Drops
I think with this it was more personal preference, I am just not a fan of liquid highlighter.
I didn't like the formula, it didn't blend out well and looked streaky, it's a no from me!
Picture

3. Revolution Rose Gold Bar
This highlighter just didn't do it for me, it was heavy on the cheek, it looked cakey. It wasn't blinding,, it looked almost greasy and definitely wouldnt look good on paler people.

Picture

4. Urban Decau Naked Illuminated
I had high expectations for this highlighter as Urban Decay are on of my favourite brands and rarely put out bad products.
The formula to this highlighter is so dry. It's very translucent with peachy gold glitter. It doesn't last on the face at all it seems to disappear after a few hours of wear.

5. Elf Baked Highlighter
Elf is known for their budget friendly make yp it's only when you get home you find out their shortcomings and that's definitely the case with their baked highlighters.

You can barely get any pigmentation from this highlighter, You can also apply this wet with either setting spray or water to try and help with pigment but it really didn't work.
I also dug the top layer of product off but it still doesn't give you much pigment.
It doesn't even give you a slightly glow, so disappointing as the price point is amazing.

Picture

6. NYX Holo Graphic Halo
This loose powder highlighter is just far to subtle for my liking, to the point you can barely see it apart from the small particles of glitter. It just doesn't do enough for me and there was a flop.

7. Sleek Cleopatra Highlighting Palette
The first thing I disliked about this palette was the formula and how rough the powders where when swatching. I really don't have a lot of texture but what I did have was made worse, I also tried it on my mum and it really showed all her texture up. It wasn't blinding highlight, I wasn't keen on the shades either of either the cream or powder. I also found that the highlighter didn't last well.

I hope you've enjoyed this post on disappointing highlighters, I hope it helps you to navigate the crazy market of highlighters and which to avoid.
Next week we will have my Top Ten highlighters from my collection and why they've made the cut.
Let me know which highlighters you haven't got along with or that you think where just not worth the hype.

Marc Jacobs O!Mega Highlighter Review

1/14/2019

Hey Guys,
Today's post is a review on the very beautiful Marc Jacobs O!Mega Glaze All Over Foil Luminizer.
I was lucky enough to have this bought as a gift for Christmas by my best friend Anna.
You are able to purchase this highlighter from Net-a-porter. ( Although other Marc Jacobs Beauty Items are available at Harvey Nichols.)
It retails for £35 and is without a doubt one of the best highlighters that I have had in the last 12 month, if not ever!.
Picture

This highlighter is described as a warm peachy gold but it is so much more than that. As you move under the light you have a shift in colour from the warm peachiness to a gorgeous gold with even a hint of a rose gold glaze. The golden shimmers really are eye catching. on the cheek. Although it has a shimmer it still looks like it melts into your skin and doesn't show up texture.

It applies beautifully and at first gives a gentle highlight but is buildable to be very blinding.  The only thing with this highlighter is that it wont suit pale skin tones in my opinion as its a darker highlight with the bronzed peach undertones. I think it would work as a bronze topper if you want shimmer but as a highlighter I think it would be to dark.
It is perfect for my medium olive skin tone and I think it would also look beautiful on darker skin tones.

I love the sleek gold packaging, its slim and perfect to travel with although very large, with a pan size of 10g you really do get a lot of product for your money!

I give this a 10/10 from me, although it is slightly pricier it really is worth the money for such a gorgeous blinding highlighter which lasts all day looking perfectly. You get a lot of product for your money and even down to the packaging it feels luxurious. A must have for any highlighter collector like myself!
A huge thank-you to my friend Anna again for such a gorgeous gift!

If you would like me to do a post all about my highlighter collection then drop me a message and let me know!

Juvia's Place The Warrior Eyeshadow Palette

1/11/2019

Hey Guys,
How are you all? I feel like I haven't done a post in ages! The festive period is always one that I enjoy and I loved being able to take a few weeks with family and friends.
I was very lucky to have some gorgeous gifts over Christmas including this amazing Juvia's Place The Warrior Palette.
This palette is inspired by the beautiful Dahomey Amazons of Africa, inspiring the front of the palette's packaging. It shows gorgeous golden and bronzed warriors!
My mum bought this for me from BeautyBay.com it was only available for a short amount of time in December. It since has been out of stock, but retailed for £30.

Picture
This palette has 9 eyeshadows, 6 metallic and 3 matte shades.
As with all Juvia's make up the shadows are creamy, pigmented and the formula is excellent. We have a variety of neutral and golden bronzed shades in this palette, from white golds to darkened browns. This palette is a dream for an neutral lover (meee!!)

Picture
The 3 matte's are just as creamy and as easy to use as the metallic shades, All the shadows pack a punch and you only need a gentle touch. They are extremely pigmented and are very easy to blend and use. They would be perfect for beginners as well as a welcome addition to any make up artists kit.
When using the shadows they blend beautifully and with little effort causing barely any fallout or kickback which is a massive plus to me.
The shadows are long lasting and look just as beautiful after 12 hours as when they are originally applied.
The metallic are foiled and therefore you can apply them both with your finger or a brush. If you wet the brush slightly with Mac Fix Plus then you really do get a hard hitting metallic which looks beautiful!
I also have been using a few of them as highlighters and they work amazingly.

I am completely in love with this palette, it's a neutral lovers dream! Although you might have a few similar shades this palette really is perfect from the formula to the pigmentation. I give this palette a full 10/10 and highly recommend you purchasing it when it becomes available again or even ordering it straight from Juvia's Place.

Here's a quick look I did over Christmas with the gorgeous gold taking centre stage!

Disney Villains Mask Set

10/31/2018

Hey Guys,
I am so excited for today's post!
It combines 2 things I love Disney & skincare! Disney Villains are 1 of my favourite categories within the Disney World.
So when I saw this mask set in Boots, I had to get it. It's part of their Christmas range and can be bought as part of their 3 for 2 gifts.

Picture
m
It had 3 villain ,masks, Ursula's Delightfully Wicked Cucumber Sheet Mask, Cruella Deville's Cruel Is Cool Coconut Sheet Mask & Maleficent's Green Tea Sheet Mask..

So let's jump into the review!

First up I tried the Maleficent Green Tea mask, you apply the mask after cleaning the face for 10-15 minutes. The scent wasn't too much, it was a nice subtle smell.
The mask dried out quite quickly & didn't reach the 15 minute mark before having to remove it.
My face felt really hydrated after using the mask, it also looked brightened and toned the next day.
I really liked the mask. it was relaxing and my skin felt hydrated and soft.
I would use this mask again!

Picture

The second mask I tried was Ursula's Cucumber sheet mask.
I applied this the same way as the first mask. this mask was much more moist then the first mask and didn't dry up as much when left for 10-15 minutes.
The mask didn't have much of a scent too it. This mask was very soothing and relacing, my face felt extremely hydrated. Before using this sheet mask I had some dry patches around my nose, what with the change in weather and it getting colder, after using the mask the dry patches had dramatically improved and where no longer noticeable.
I really enjoyed this mask, I felt it was better than the first one and gave me some good results!

Picture

The last mask of the pack was Cruella Deville's Coconut sheet mask.
Coconut is one of my favourite scent's and ingredients in masks, as I always find my skin feels & looks amazing afterwards, so I had high hopes for this mask.
This mask definitely didn't last much over 10 minutes before I had to remove it, you never want to leave a sheet mask dry on your face as that's when it will start pulling moisture from your skin rather than giving, so make sure you remove it before it dries down completely.
The scent was subtle but nice, not too overpowering.
This mask actually did the least out of the three, I didn't really feel any benefits too this mask, my face felt and looked the same afterwards.
So I wouldn't use this one again, it was very disappointing after having such success with the Cucumber one.

Picture

My final thoughts;
All of the masks where comfortable to wear and very soft. They where a good fit compared to some sheet masks, and the pattern on them of the Villains face was a nice touch.
This set is a great gift for someone who is a Disney fan and you want something a little different.
I really loved the Cucumber mask, it was hydrating, refreshing and left my face feeling amazing for a few days.
The Green Tea one was again moisturising and really brightened my face.
The only one I wasn't impressed by was the Coconut one, the one I was most looking forward too, The mask just wasn't as moist, it dried out very quickly and left no positive effects on my skin.

Over all I really did enjoy trying these masks out and I do recommend them. They're good fun and would make a fab addition to any girls night in!

Mascara Declutter & Final Thoughts

10/18/2018

Hey Guys,
Today's post is all about me de-cluttering my make up collection & I started off with the mascara's. I am a make up collector, but I've realised lately I have been finding reasons to hoard make up rather than going through it and getting rid of what I don't use, or has expired. My main reason for hoarding is usually to do with loving the packaging or that thing we all say "I may need it 1 day".
Well I've decided to have a good old clear out & I thought instead of just throwing them out, I'll do a little post, show you what I am keeping and what's getting chucked and my reasons behind it & maybe a final thoughts on each of the mascara's.
So let's jump in and see what's going!
Picture

1. Too Faced - Better Than Sex £19
This mascara is amazing, I've had several through out the last few years and it really does lengthen and thicken your lashes. It is one of my favourite mascara's and I will definitely repurchase this one but for now this old one is for the bin!
Picture
2. Tarte - Lights Camera's Lashes £27 (2 full size mascara's)
This mascara is hands down my favourite, this mascara truly does lengthen my lashes, coats every lash without clumping them together. The mascara doesn't flake off and is long lasting. It also helps to curl my very straight lashes.
I love the bristles, it gets to the root of lashes, curls them up and gives them gorgeous length! This is a fairly new mascara and will be staying in the collection!
Picture
3. L'Oreal Parish Lash Paradise Mascara £11.99
Originally I loved this mascara, it made your lashes look so full and coated them from root to tip.
However after a few weeks this mascara started clumping, it dried out very quickly. Within a month it was very dry, it was flaking off the lashes, it wasn't coating them properly and really went downhill for me quite quickly.
Therefore its going in the bin and unfornately I wont be repurchasing this mascara, I also don't recommend it!
Picture
4. L.A Girl Mascara Oomph'D Mascara £6
I bought this mascara on a whim when I was doing a Beauty Bay haul and I thought it was really good especially for it's price. It definitely helped to volumized my lashes and lived up to it's name.
It did dry out quite quickly, so unless you use mascara up quickly then you may end up with waste. This one is going into the bin because of drying out and I probably wouldn't repurchase as I have found some good mascara since purchasing this one.
Picture
5. Nip & Fab
This mascara I got free when I placed a Superdrug haul & I really wasn't a fan, it was very dry from the beginning. It flaked off the lashes very quickly all over the face, it clumped the lashes together and made them look like spider leg's. I am not a fan of this mascara & really don't recommend. I cant find it online at the moment so maybe it's not made anymore?
Picture
6. NYX Super Luscious Mascara Stacked £8
This mascara has one of my favourite wands, with different length bristles to get right down to the roots and coat each lash, meaning there is no clumping but full coverage. I wouldn't say that my lashes became luscious but they where coated and lengthened. With a gentle curl.
For it's price I really liked this mascara, my mum is a huge fan of this one but for this declutter I am throwing it away, it could be a possible repurchase for the future though.
Picture
7. Essence False Lash Effect Mascara Princess Black £3.30

I feel in love with this mascara last year. Instantly my lashes looked like false lashes. This mascara lengthened, added volume and curled my lashes up.
It really is one of the best mascara's out there, not just for the price but in general.
I highly recommend this mascara for anyone, it really does everything you want and need from a mascara.
I'll be keeping the mascara and it will definitely be a repurchase for me.
Picture
8. Benefit - BADgal BANG Mascara - £21.50
This mascara was one of Benefits big launches this year, I really enjoyed this mascara at first, but I found after a little while that it was flaking off the lashes very easily.
Although it did give volume and the bristles ensure that you got from root to tip coated. It just isn't long lasting so for me this mascara is a pass in future and although I'm keeping the mascara at the moment I doubt it'll get much more use from me.
Picture

So there you have my final thoughts on a few of the mascara's that I have tried recently. I enjoyed getting rid of the clutter and making space for new make up! I am always on the hunt for the perfect mascara of my dreams, it seems to be one make up item that I can't find
So I hope you've enjoyed seeing my de-clutter and you'd like to see future declutter post's then be sure to leave a comment or a like!
