Hey Guys, I am so excited for today's post, my favourite make up item without a doubt is highlighters and I couldn't wait to get my hands on Urban Decay's Kristen Leanne Beauty Beam Highlighting Palette. It retails for £22 and is available from Urban Decay's website. I thought I would even the scales since my last post was a poor review. You can check out my last review here, all about their Meltdown Make Up Remover. First of all the packaging for this palette is really eye catching and fun. It's bright pink and in it's outer packaging really gleams under the light. This palette has 3 shades; The 1st is a rose gold with orange undertones, the 2nd is the lightest of the 3 and is a gorgeous light gold/white golden pearl which is a warm toned. The last of the 3 is a warm golden shade that looks almost peachy. Al 3 of these shades are highly pigmented, with extremely good coverage. The texture is extremely smooth and soft, almost feels like cream, it feels like butter. It applies well and blends out with little effort. You can really build up the coverage to something blinding. A really metallic sheen, with no glitter in sight which I like. You can wear these on their own or mix them together to create your own custom shades, which I absolutely love doing. This applies on the skin so smoothly you cant see any pores, it doesn't show any texture up. I think if your skin is light toned then the 2 outside shades may be a little 2 dark for you, if your dark toned then the middle one may look a little chalky. Therefor I would say this palette suits more medium skin tones. All 3 shades suit my medium olive skin tone. Above are 3 different looks all showcasing the highlighter and as you can see it gives a beautiful glow! I give this palette a 10/10. I love the packaging, the product itself is like butter, it applies beautifully and blends in like a dream.. It gives you a beautiful glow.. All 3 shades are suitable for my skin tone and it's well worth £22. This highlighter is a huge hit & part of my current rotation! I highly recommend this product! So what you waiting for go purchase this beauty! Until Next Time,

Hey Guys,
Today's post is all about a make up remover that I purchased in the boxing day sales, as most of you know I am obsessed with Clinique's Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm (Click here for the full review) and haven't really tried many other make up removers this past year. So I thought let's give Urban Decay's Meltdown Make up Remover - Cleansing Oil stick a go! I purchased this from their website for £14, normal retail price is £20. I was excited to give this ago with their claims to remove even the most stubborn waterproof make up, with their cleansing oil stick being not just powerful by gentle on your skin with nourishing & hydrating ingredients. The cleansing stick is a three phased oil based remover that transforms from a balm to liquid oil to microfoam, which gently dissolves even the must stubborn of make up. On the website it states that it is safe to use on eye's but that everyone's skin is different. I used this for the first time on a fairly normal everyday make up look, nothing to stubborn or waterproof, just a gentle eye look with full face of natural glam. It removed my foundation and face make up with ease and without trouble. However when it came to my eye make up, it instantly caused irritation, now am very gentle when removing eye make up as I have sensitive skin. Within seconds my eyes started to sting and I really didn't get a large amount in the eye. I cant describe how badly this made my eye sting, I tried to rinse it all off immediately with water, I did this several times, my eyes where extremely blood shut & kept streaming for nearly a hour after. I checked back to the mirror after a few hours after using the cleansing stick, my eyes where still read, streaming and even had discharge. My eyelids where red raw and even had a small amount of blood. The next day my eyes where extremely sore and irritated. They where not as blood shot but still looked irritated. The eyelid was sore, had small scabs and felt extremely tight. So my final thoughts on Urban Decay's Cleansing Oil Stick, I will not be using this product again, even on my skin. It removed my face make up fairly well, my eye make up still had mascara left over. My face didn't feel nourished or hydrated if anything it was quite drying yet greasy at the same time! However the effects it had on my eye are not worth the hassle of the product. I am day 3 after use and my eyes are still irritated and my eyelids are, I would even go as far as saying, painful! I give this product a 1/10 just for the fact it removed my facial make up. I will attach the photo of my eyelids after use down below! Until Next Time, Hey Guys,
So it's a new year and everyone will be asking you what your New Years resolution is, most of us will be making resolutions to try and better ourselves, the only thing is that most of us wont make it through January even if our intentions are good. So why not choose some smaller beauty resolutions that are easier to keep! Like these 5. 1. Clean your make up brushes regularly. If your like me the thought of cleaning all of your make up brushes can be quite daunting, but if we don't keep our brushes clean and we let bacteria build up then it can have disastrous effects for our skin! So find yourself a brush cleaner that you like and make sure it becomes a habit to keep those brushes clean! 2. Don't neglect your lips. We often forget about our lips when we do our skincare routines but if your like me and the winter plays havoc with your lips making the dry or flaky, then you need to take action. I purchased a lip scrub by Jeffree Star and have made it part of my routine to use the scrub every few days, as well as keeping them moisturised. You could even try a lip mask like Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask available for around £15. 3. Take time to wash your face at night. Washing your face at night will make the world of difference. It is especially important for people who wear make up to make sure they wash their face thoroughly. Make sure you find a cleanser that is right for your skin type and take the time to clean your face of make up, dead skin and any daily build up. 4. Rotate your mascara every 3-4 months. We are all guilty of holding on to our favourite mascara for as long as we can. But this can cause major bacteria build up and result in us getting a nasty eye infection. So make it a resolution to change your mascara regularly - maybe this can be a chance for you to try some new mascaras out! 5. Have more fun with make up. Everybody takes make up so seriously these days but I doont know about you, but I got into make up because I love it, I loved playing with it as a teenagers and experimenting, I became a make up artist because I love being creative and how make up is a one size fits all, no matter your age, your gender, your size. So try a different lip colour, experiment with eyeshadow. Stop worrying about the rules and enjoy yourself, after all make up is supposed to be fun!! Until Next Time, Hey Guys, Today's post is one I toyed with posting for a while.
