Hey Guys, Today's post is all about Spectrum X Disney Ursula Brush Set. I was really lucky to have this as a Christmas gift from my other half. Spectrum have really taken off in the last year and you can barely go through social media without seeing multiple posts featuring them. They have some really gorgeous collections ranging from Disney's little mermaid to Mean Girls and Bridal Sets. This 10 piece Ursula Sea Witch Set comes housed in a metallic purple conch shell case with Ursula on the front of the Embellished with pearls, a detachable chain strap and made from a gorgeous iridescent purple vegan leather. It also comes in a velvet drawstring dust bag to keep it looking brand new! It's a real eye catcher and is absolutely gorgeous & a must have for any Disney or make up lover. I am a huge Villains fan & to se Ursula merchandise mixed with beauty brushes was a must have for me.. This set contains 10 brushes, 5 face brushes and 5 eye brushes. The handles are a two toned gold and purple sparkle with subtle lilac bristles. The bristles are extremely soft and really do help you to create flawless make up looks! The set includes; B01 - Flat Top Buffer Brush A01 - Large Domed Powder Brush A04 - Tapered Setting Brush A10 -Small Fan Brush B05 - Luxe Blender Brush B06 Tall Tapered Brush B04 - Small Angled Blender Brush A18 - Oval Concealer Brush A12 Fluffy Pencil Brush A17 - Angled Brow Brush The 5 eye brushes including in the set. My favourite brushes from this set are B04 the small angled blender, it's so fluffy, it picks product up easily and fits nicely into the crease. Blending eyeshadow beautifully & with ease. Another favourite is the A12 fluffy pencil, I love this brush for adding depth to the crease when doing a smokey eye. In fact the eye brushes in this set definitely win the show for me, they perform so well and feel beautiful in the hand. A10 Small Fan Brush Not only are these brushes absolutely beautiful an aesthetically pleasing but they feel great in the hand and on the skin. Vegan and cruelty free, all spectrum brushes are made with synthetic hair, they work equally aswell with both creams and powder products. They clean easily and do not shed which is a major plus for me. They have held their shape and still look brand new after several washes after a few weeks of use. All in all 100% would recommend these or any Spectrum brushes for that matter. Although the Disney sets are slightly higher in price they are well worth it for any Disney fans, The packaging and attention to detail is amazing. These brushes preform better than most I have tried. I will definitely be adding more Spectrum brushes to my collection in the future. I've used each brush from this set which is rare as usually there are a few in each set that are redundant. This set is truly beautiful from the velour dust bag , the pearl embellished shell and its gorgeous sparkly handles! This set gets a 10/10 for me and I highly recommend these brushes to anyone looking to add new ones to their collection. Until Next Time,

Hey Guys, Today's post is all about my top 10 highlighters from my extensive collection and carries on from my earlier post where we discussed "Disappointing Highlighters". I am even more excited about this post because who doesn't want to glow to the gods! After trying out different highlighters over the years I have been able to come up with my top 10 of all time. Be sure to give my Instagram a follow; Pr1ncesskayleigh for a chance to win my number 1 highlighter in an up and coming giveaway! At number 10 we have Urban Decay X Kristen Leanne palette called Beauty Beam. There is 3 shades in the palette and they are all gorgeous. The palette is very pigmented. The formula doesn't show up texture and melts into the skin to give a gorgeous glow. The palette is perfect for travelling as there are 3 shades that can be used separately or combined to create different shades. Next at number 9 we have Kat Von D 10 Year Anniversary Metal Crush Extreme Highlighter Gold Skool. This is an unusual one for me to like as its very heavily glittered. The formula of this highlighter is insane, it's very blinding and the glitter shift is gorgeous under different lights and always looks beautiful! It's nor as smooth as some formulas but it doesn't show up texture and does give the appearance of melting into the skin. 8th on the list is Jouer's Citrine. This highlighter is slightly more subtle and gives a really gorgeous natural glow, unless you want more in which case you can build it up to be a more substantial glow without it looking cakey. I really like the light gold shimmer of this highlighter. They're a really reasonable price at under £20. At 7th on the list is another Jouer highlighter called Skinny Dip this has the same formula as the Citrine but is a darker golden tone.. It applies beautifully and looks like a second skin. Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop made it in at number 6. This highlighter really bought highlighting back into the headlights and became a best sellers. As soon as you use it you can see why it was a popular choice. The formula is so creamy it glides onto the skin without drawing attention to texture or pores. The glow is very reflective and catches the light to give you a blinding glow that looks like a second skin. The highlighter is a universal flattering with shades that would suit all skin tones. Going into the top 5 we have Smashbox X Vlada which came out last year. The shade gilded rose is a pale golden highlighter with a light catching sheen that's slightly rose gold. This highlighter is on the more natural side but because of it's incredibly smooth formula is applies beautifully and sits very naturally meaning you can build the highlighter without it becoming cakey. It looks beautiful on the skin and catches the light. Not only is it a beautiful highlighter but the packaging is probably the most beautiful I have seen, not only the outer packaging but the actual highlighter pan is a rose & just looks beautiful! 4th up we have Anastasia Beverly Hills x Amrezy which came out on Valentines day last year & instantly became a favourite of not just mine but by all that tried it. I LOVE this highlighter and it was my go to for most of last year. From the moment you see the highlighter in the pan the 3d wave pattern is eye catching. This highlighter gives you a perfect glow which can start subtly and build up to be a beautiful, luminous glow. This highlighter is a very light gold with a slight champagne undertone, it will be universally flattering to all skin tones. This formula melts into the skin and makes the skin looks glossy. 3rd on the list is Ofra Pillow Talk a beautiful soft pearl pink highlighter. The texture of this highlighter is fine and blends onto the skin seamlessly. This highlighter like all Ofra highlighter is extremely pigmented, it doesn't take a lot to be blinding, it doesn't need to be built up at all, it applies with a bang straight away. This highlighter is fairly light and would look best on light to medium skin tones, although those with medium skin tones should apply with caution. The only hang up with the highlighter is that there is a little bit of kick back but nothing that you cant overlook for the quality of the highlighter. The runner up but a very close second is a fairly new addition to my collection, Marc Jacobs Beauty O!Mega Glaze All Over Foil Luminizer. Although I have only had this for a couple of months it fast became a favourite. I've reached for it every time I've done my make up recently. This highlighter is a warm peachy gold but as you catch the light it shifts colour from the warm peachiness to a gorgeous gold. It has some shimmer to it but isn't too much or over bearing and the highlight still melts into your skin. This is a buildable highlighter but doesn't look cakey when you add more layers to make it blinding. This is definitely for medium to darker skin tones. The packaging is gorgeous and hosts an amazing mirror for when your on the go. At the top of the list and at my number 1 spot is Ofra Rodeo Drive. This highlighter is just perfection to me! It is a gorgeous soft sun-kissed golden highlighter. This shares the same formula as Pillow talk. Finely milled powder which means when applied melts into the skin giving the most beautiful glow, like a second skin. Ofra highlighters pigmentation is second to none and a little goes a long way. The formula really is the best on the market. This highlighter is not for those that like a natural or subtle glow. I cannot wait to add more Ofra highlighters to my ever growing collection. Check out the glow it gives below! So there you have it, my top 10 highlighters from my collection. I'd love to say I will use all of these up but I just cannot help myself when it comes to buying new highlighters, they are after all my favourite part of doing my make up! If you have any suggestions for me to add to my collection then let me know! Don't forget to follow my Instagram for future giveaways! Until Next Time, Hey Guys, Today's post is all about disappointing highlighters, every now and then I come across products that just don't live up to the hype. I don't like to focus on to much negativity but people definitely need to know whether things work or not don't they? I asked on Instagram and on Marc Jacobs O!Mega Highlighter review if you wanted to see a post on my highlighter collection and I thought why not split it into 2 different post's. This one all about disappointing highlighters and another on my top 10 highlighters. ( which is to follow ) So without further ado lets jump in and talk about those highlighters that where a major flop for me. 1. Nars X Man Ray This is probably the most disappointing of all the highlighters I have tried as I had such high expectations. This was past of the Holiday collection in 2017 and when it was revealed online it looked beautiful .I was so excited to receive it for Christmas that was until I used it, when applied it was dull with no sparkle or shine. It looked heavy on the cheeks and so powdery, it just didn't deliver and looked nothing like the highlight they advertised. 2. Barry M Liquid Chrome Highlighter Drops I think with this it was more personal preference, I am just not a fan of liquid highlighter. I didn't like the formula, it didn't blend out well and looked streaky, it's a no from me! 3. Revolution Rose Gold Bar This highlighter just didn't do it for me, it was heavy on the cheek, it looked cakey. It wasn't blinding,, it looked almost greasy and definitely wouldnt look good on paler people. 4. Urban Decau Naked Illuminated I had high expectations for this highlighter as Urban Decay are on of my favourite brands and rarely put out bad products. The formula to this highlighter is so dry. It's very translucent with peachy gold glitter. It doesn't last on the face at all it seems to disappear after a few hours of wear. 5. Elf Baked Highlighter Elf is known for their budget friendly make yp it's only when you get home you find out their shortcomings and that's definitely the case with their baked highlighters. You can barely get any pigmentation from this highlighter, You can also apply this wet with either setting spray or water to try and help with pigment but it really didn't work. I also dug the top layer of product off but it still doesn't give you much pigment. It doesn't even give you a slightly glow, so disappointing as the price point is amazing. 6. NYX Holo Graphic Halo This loose powder highlighter is just far to subtle for my liking, to the point you can barely see it apart from the small particles of glitter. It just doesn't do enough for me and there was a flop. 7. Sleek Cleopatra Highlighting Palette The first thing I disliked about this palette was the formula and how rough the powders where when swatching. I really don't have a lot of texture but what I did have was made worse, I also tried it on my mum and it really showed all her texture up. It wasn't blinding highlight, I wasn't keen on the shades either of either the cream or powder. I also found that the highlighter didn't last well. I hope you've enjoyed this post on disappointing highlighters, I hope it helps you to navigate the crazy market of highlighters and which to avoid. Next week we will have my Top Ten highlighters from my collection and why they've made the cut. Let me know which highlighters you haven't got along with or that you think where just not worth the hype. Until Next Time, |
