Hey Guys, Today's post is a quick one because I got so excited about a highlighter that I just saw and decided to pick up because well it was £2 and I don't really need much excuse to buy highlighters! It's safe to say that I have tried it and I absolutely love it! I cant believe how pigmented, how gorgeous and how long lasting it is for just £2! I'm sure your wanting to know what highlighter I am talking about and where it's from?! Well hold tight …. This is Asda George's Bronzing Highlight. I purchased it for £2 on the end of a checkout. It looked so beautiful I had to grab it! Asda are slowly expanding their make up lines and adding products that are definitely eye catching. It does say online item is coming soon, but be sure too keep an eye out as you do your weekly shop! The packaging for this is very simple and nude, with a see through lid which you can see in too the product. I have only used this a handful of times but each time it has lasted all day, looking just as perfect at the end of the day as it did when applied.. It is very soft and buttery yet has very little fall out, the brush picks it up well and evenly distributes. It applies easily and really packs a punch with just one swipe, it doesn't show pores up like some highlighters but instead looks soft and smooth, you can definitely build this up to be absolutely blinding but it definitely doesn't need much too be a real eye catcher. This is definitely on the darker side as it is sold as a bronzer highlight. This would work well as a either a bronzer topper where you could blend from bronze too highlight with it or if you have a medium to darker skin tone it would work well as just a highlighter. So it has many different ways you can use it, so for just £2 you really can't go wrong. I highly recommend keeping an eye out for it! Until Next Time, Hey Guys, Today's post is all about Coconut Cosmetic's products, that I was lucky enough to have sent to me to review. I received their Lavender Lip Balm & Hair Repair Oil, it's safe to say that I am a huge fan of these products! First up we have their Lavender LipBalm which retails for £6.45 for 10ml of product. This lip balm isn't too over the top with scent which I love! However when applied it has a very sweet taste which is heavenly. It is extremely long lasting, I can apply it and leave it for hours to work its magic! Since using this product my lips are soft, well hydrated and the general health of my lips seems too have improved greatly. I don't just use this during the day but I have also taken to applying a more generous layer before bed, like a kind of mask, giving it all night to soak in and hydrate the lips! Lipsticks have applied better since using this product & look better on the lips too! I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a new lip balm, its travel friendly, works brilliantly and will have your lips looking healthy and hydrated in no time! If you aren't a fan of lavender they have other scents available too, as well as lip scrub products! Next up we have their Hair Repair Oil which retails for £12.50 for 20ml. This oil is full of all kinds of goodness! Coconut oil which helps restore elasticity in your hair and helps with dry scalps and psoriasis. Argan oil hydrates and nourishes hair. Castor oil which helps to promote hair growth as well as thickening the hair. While Vitamin A & E helps to boost the rest of the ingredients. I suffer from psoriasis around the scalp area, after using this oil twice a week for a few weeks, its helped reduce my psoriasis dramatically. I have been rubbing this into my scalp twice a week, over night, once a week all over the hair including the ends and then just the scalp the 2nd time. Although this is a oil it isn't too heavy and it washes out easily the next morning. I do double shampoo when I have used it all over the hair and scalp to make sure its all out and doesn't leave me with greasy hair. My hair has become so shiny, it looks healthy, long and luscious. My scalp has improved with psoriasis, and the general health of the scalp. All in all I highly recommend this for anyone who has psoriasis on the scalp or nape of the neck, it will help to improve the general health of your skin. It's also a great mask to leave on for 20 minutes for anyone who's looking to add some extra moisture, improve dullness and strengthen and thicken the hair. I am so impressed with these products, both have delivered and worked well for me. I will most definitely be carrying on using them and will re-purchase when I run out! I hope you've enjoyed my review! Be sure to check their products out and let me know your experiences with them! Until Next Time, Although these products where sent to me, all views are that of my own and are a true representation of they have worked for me!
Hey Guys, As you can see above today's post is about the Body Shop's Black Musk Scent. Available in many different forms such as fragrance mist at £8.50, Eau de Toilette from £13, Eau de Parfum £22 and many more products. I opted to try the fragrance mist and the Eau de Toilette. Black Musk is a complete dupe for Yves Saint Laurent's Black Opium perfume which has been my go to for a few years now, but at £52 for 30ml's its definitely more of a luxury perfume to have! I had heard that this was a dead ringer for the YSL favourite and they weren't wrong! It smells exactly the same as my go to perfume! I was over the moon! Now I have a handbag perfume to top up my daily scent! Now YSL last's all day, you can spray it at 9am and still smell it 12 hours later, the Black Musk doesn't quite have the same staying power however with its price tag being lower you can afford those few extra squirts! The Eau de Toilette retails from £13 for 30ml's. This is the stronger of the 2 products that I purchased. It lasts a good 4-6 hours. The 2nd product was their Fragrance Mist and it retails for £8.50 for 100ml. This product isn't as strong, it's more of a subtle scent compared to the Eau de Toilette. It does wear off fairly quickly, but is perfect for a top up in the handbag!
Over all I am so happy to have found a dupe for YSL that has a less hefty price tag, don't get me wrong I will still be indulging in my luxury scent but this is perfect for the handbag or to top up throughout the day. The main notes of the perfume for me are definitely the black vanilla, the pear and marzipan and almond. All combined to make the deep sensuous and sexy scent. Perfect for fall and winter as its a much deeper than the fruity scents that I go for in the summer! I hope you've enjoyed my review on the Body Shop's Black Musk & it's comparison to YSL's Black Opium. If you know of any other dupe's let me know down below! Until Next Time, Hey Guys, Today's post is a lust list of all the Summer releases that have come out over the last few months and a few that are coming out over the next few weeks. Highlighters are my favourite make up items and this looked so blinding and beautiful! I thought the price point for a 4 pan palette was so reasonable. It has to be part of my collection! Until Next Time, Hey Guys, Today's post is all about the products I have been loving the last few months! But as long as your quick to blend out then the formula makes you look airbrushed and perfect! Click Here For My Full Review Smashbox X Vlada Petal Metal Highlighter Another from the Vlada collaboration with Smashbox. This time their highlighter which retails for £30 from both Smashbox & Boots. The packaging for this collection is beautiful both the inner and outer packaging. It almost looked to good to use. Superdrug Vitamin E Range Review May Favourites & Fails Beauty Bloggers & Make Up Artist's Wedding Day Essentials Hey Guys, Today's post is another review on Smashbox X Vlada collection. This is the first time I have purchased a few items from a collection. This palette retails for £26 and is available from their Smashbox website and Boots. This palette is however limited edition for summer 2018 so I recommend snapping this up quickly before it's gone for good! I think the packaging for this eyeshadow palette is beautiful, just like the rest of the collection it is rose gold. The top of the case is textured and has a 3D print which when moved changes. The top is quite thin but has a gorgeous mirror on the inside. It also has magnetic closing which I love! The lid doesn't open fully which can be annoying when your working with the palette. This is definitely small enough to be travel friendly and is light too, perfect to take on holiday's. Above we have swatches of the 2 matte shadows and 6 shimmers. The left is with a flash and the right is without. The actual shades and their formulas; I feel like they are of an extremely high quality. They are like butter to touch, so velvety. They're extremely easy to apply and they blend beautifully., with such little effort. Very easy to use. I love the variety of shades in the palette. The mattes are perfect for both transition and darkening the crease. The metallic are absolutely beautiful. The 2 shadows across the top of the palette which do have the description of being base colours, which I don't agree with, are absolutely beautiful and even make a gorgeous highlighter. This palette is a fantastic palette for all, however because of it's amazing formula and how easy it is to blend out it would be great for beginners. The palette is bunched into 2 quad's the left is slightly warmer and the right has cooler shades. Although the differences are only slight it's enough to create a look from both sides The pigmentation this palette gives you is amazing, you barely need to build up coverage as it gives it to you instantly. I have used the palette both with and without primer and both times the shades looked amazing, it lasted all day and didn't crease. You don't need a heavy hand to pick up a lot of product. You can create some quick looks because of how easy it is to pick up and distribute My final thoughts, I personally love this palette. I love the colour scheme of it, the metallic shades are truly beautiful and the pigmentation is out of this world. It really is a gorgeous palette. It lasts all day without creasing and looking bad by the end of night. It blends out without any issues, the shades are all truly beautiful. I have reached for this palette several times since purchasing it and cant wait to keep creating some gorgeous looks with it! The formula has made me want to purchase a few more cover shot palettes by Smashbox! The price for this is so reasonable at just £26. For these reasons, I give this a full 10/10 and highly recommend trying a cover shot palette! This one wont be around for ever being limited edition so if you like the look of it make sure you grab it as soon as possible. Until Next Time, Hey Guys, Today's post is all about Smashbox's collaboration with make up artist Vlada Haggerty who has created a gorgeous rose gold collection, from highlighters to eyeshadow palettes & liquid lipsticks. Me being obsessed with highlighters I had to grab one from the collection and I went with Gilded Rose. The highlighter is available from Smashbox's website & Boots. Retailing for £30. The packaging for this collection is one of the best I have seen. The highlighter is absolutely beautiful, it's a metallic rose gold metal and really does catch your eye. It's truly beautiful, probably the best packaged highlighter I have ever owned! The weight of this product is quite hefty, feels very luxurious and high quality. Not only is the packaging out of this world beautiful but the actual highlighter itself is pressed into a rose to match the outside. I almost didn't want to ruin it by using it! On to the actual formula and performance of the highlighter. The formula of the highlighter is a gel to powder formula which gives it a really smooth and soft texture. The formula was very flattering and impressive, it didn't emphasis any imperfections on the skin but rather blended into the skin perfectly. The shade I purchased was Gilded Rose; which is a subtle gold with champagne reflects, giving off a slightly pink sheen as it reflects the light. Now although I really do like this highlighter to me it was slightly underwhelming at first, I was expecting to be blinding to the gods but instead when I first applied it definitely is a more natural/day time kind of glow. Once I played around with it and layered it a few times it gave me more of a glow that I was looking for. It is still quite a conservative highlight and much more subtle than I usually wear. However I have found myself going to it everyday for day time make up, its always good to have a more subtle highlight in the collection right?! You can also make it more intense by wetting your brush with some setting powder before picking up the highlighter, or use the end of a damp beauty blender for an even more intense pick up. The above picture is a swatch of the highlighter both with a flash (top picture) and without the flash (bottom picture). So my final thoughts, the packaging is absolutely beautiful and really luxurious. I think I'll use it as a compact mirror when the highlighter is finished! The inside was just as gorgeous. The formula makes this one of the softest I have tried, it applies like a dream, it sits so naturally on my skin, it just blends so perfectly. No texture is visible and it catches the light beautifully, lasting all day perfectly. It is a subtle highlighter but if that's what you want or what you go for then you'll love this. If subtle highlighters aren't your thing then I would give this one a miss. Although I was a little underwhelmed to start with once I accepted it was a more subtle highlighter I fell in love with it and have used it for daytime make up non stop! So all in all I would give it a 7/10 but I'm definitely glad I have added it to my collection! Until Next Time, Hey Guys, Today's review is all about Jouer's High Coverage Crème Foundation which is available from BeautyBay & Cult Beauty retailing for £34 and has a massive shade range of 50 shades, with so many shades and undertones that there really is something for everyone! I shade matched myself after much deliberating and went with the shade Biscuit. There are some pretty bold claims with this foundation; supreme high coverage, longwearing & lightweight. Needing only a small amount to achieve an impeccable airbrushed matte finish. The foundation has some amazing properties such camomile & cucumber extract. with hyaluronic acid o help give you that perfect complexion that let's be honest we are all chasing! This foundation's formula really does make it one of the most high coverage products I have used. Application of the product was so easy, you really do only need a small amount, you can apply with both brushes and sponges for a natural and streak free application. The only downfall is that it dries fairly fast so you either need to work fast or do your face in batches. Because it's a pump it is easy to control how much product comes out. The formula blends out beautifully and it made my skin look silky smooth, straight away you can see how full coverage it is as it covers up all imperfections and dark circles! I was pleasantly surprised at how amazing it made my skin look, it looks airbrushed and almost perfect. It feels very lightweight and doesn't look cakey at all! Now although it says that it dries matte I disagree with this statement and would say it never fully dries down unless you use powder. If you don't use powder it does transfer slightly. This wasn't a problem for me because I always set my face. All in all I cant believe how amazing this foundation is. It really is extremely full coverage yet lightweight. It gives a gorgeous demi matte finish letting a small amount of radiance to poke through. It applies easily and lasts all day, without cracking or setting into fine lines or wrinkles. It didn't crease under my eyes which is a problem I have to battle normally. This so far is one of the most perfect foundations I have ever tried. The only downfalls for this foundation is that there isn't quite a fluid oz in there like most foundations, however they combat this by you not needing as much as other foundations. I'm not sure if it would be a suitable foundation for those with oilier skin with it not fully drying down. I have normal skin and it works beautifully for me. That being said I would definitely repurchase and give this foundation a 9/10 just because of the price for a smaller bottle. I have attached a photo of me with the foundation down below! Until Next Time. Other Post's You Might Enjoy Superdrug's Vitamin E Range Review Kat Von D's 10 Year Anniversary Metal Crush Highlighter Hey Guys, Today's post is all about Superdrug's Vitamin E range, over the past few months I have been trying out a few of their items, slowly introducing them into my skincare routine. The range is available both online and instore. Ranging from £2.99 upwards, it's all really reasonably priced and I love that they have a full range of different products available. Let's jump straight in and have a look at what products I have been loving and what, if any, I haven't been so keen on! 1. Hydrating Mist Retailing for £2.99 for 150ml. This is so refreshing and in these hotter months I have reached for it even more as it's refreshing and cooling. It has a gorgeous sweet scent, which I really like. I hold this at arms length, close my eyes and do a few squirts to cover the face, letting it dry into the skin. This product doesn't just refresh but tones as wel. It contains lots of positive ingredients to help combat dry skin, prevent environmental damage, clean skin and prevent premature skin ageing. The aloe vera both sooths and moisturises the skin. Since using this my skin has been able to hold on to moisture much better, it gives a cleansing feeling. It hasn't had any dry patches and the res of my skincare seems to be working better. Causing no irritation to my sensitive skin. This gets a full 10/10 for me and I will continue to purchase this item. 2. Vitamin E Eye Cream This again retails for £2.99 for 10ml of product. It again has the same sweet scent as the rest of the line. I take a small pea size amount and use under the eye and up around the side of the eye in gentle circular motions using the ring finger. It's a very light cream, non greasy & absorbs well into the skin, without leaving a greasy residue on the skin. I cannot comment on the effect of the cream on wrinkles as fortunately at 27 I don't have any wrinkles. It has however brightened my under eyes and helped my skin tone. So for me it a success as one of my main hates about my face is the dark circles under the eye, so anything that improves that is a success in my eyes! I give this a steady 8/10. 3. Vitamin E Wipes Another product which retails for £2.99 for 25 wipes. Again with the same sweet scent however it's not as strong as the other products, much more subtle. This is one of my favourite products from the range. With sensitive skin finding wipes that are gentle to your skin yet remove all the make up and works well, is hard. These however are very gentle on the skin, do not cause any irritation and remove make up well, better than some high end wipes in my opinion. Give this a full 10/10 star purchase for me & I will definitely keep buying these! 4. Vitamin E Night Cream For 100ml of product this again retails for £2.99 A little really goes a long way with this product. I use 2 pea size amounts on my fingertips and gently apply in a circular motion. This really works into the skin nicely and gives you intense moisture & hydration over night. The next morning my skin feels so soft and moisturised but leaves no oily residue, it hasn't clogged my pores at all, I have been using this March and barely any of the product has gone. I give it a solid 8/10 and will definitely repurchase in the future. It has helped improve my skins hydration and moisture steadily over the last few weeks. 5. Vitamin E Serum Retailing for £3.99 for 50ml. It has the same scent but it isn't too strong in this product. The serum is lightweight and has a very silky smooth texture. Packed full of amazing ingredients to boost the skins moisture content, stimulate cell renewal and help protect your skin. This formula is very lightweight and silky to the touch. It is fast absorbing and a little goes a long way. I use this before the rest of my skincare but after cleansing and toning. It helps other skincare to preform better. I've noticed my skincare really does seem to be working a lot better since using this. It helps products to sink into the skin and helps to really hydrate the skin. I'm a big fan of this product and give is a 10/10 for such an inexpensive product. 6. Vitamin E Leave On Mask We're back to £2.99 for 100 ml of product. This mask is a gel formula, you work it in circular motions leaving your skin to soak up the product for around 10 minutes. I then either rub the remainder of the product or remove it with warm water & cotton pads. This is an intense formula which really goes give your skin an intense moisture and hydration. My skin always feels so soft & supple after using this product, it soaks in beautifully without leaving any greasy feeling behind. I can always tell the next day when I have used this and can see the benefits when my make up applies beautifully. The scent of this is slightly stronger than other products, however it still smells beautifully sweet. It works so well with my skin and I love seeing the after effects of this mask on my skin. I give it a 9/10. 7. Vitamin E All Over Body Cream This retails for £2.99 for a massive tub of 475 ml of product. This again has the same scent, which when applied to the whole body smells amazing. I have been using this product since March and I'm not hitting half way. I use it everyday all over my body, it keeps my skin very soft, supple, it moisturises the body for a good 8-12 hours but it doesn't make the skin feel greasy or clogged up. It's one of my favourite from the range along with the wipes, because it preforms so well and is so inexpensive, this product has preformed better than some higher end body butters and creams that I have tried. This gets a full 10/10 and I have already repurchased this and to have a back up! 8. Vitamin E Superbalm This retails for £3.99 and is one of the more expensive products from the range. It has the same scent. I didn't get a picture of this as I purchased it later than the rest of the products. This balm includes shea butter which I absolutely love. The balm is an absolute dream product. It can be used for so many different things! I have used it as a cuticle cream, I have used it when I've needed an intense moisturiser on areas such as elbows, feet and occasionally used it as moisturiser on my legs. The best area I have used it on is my heels, it gives them an intense moisture and helps with cracked heels. I also have used my 2nd as a lip balm and is really has helped condition my lips, it moisturises them without making them greasy, I also put it on last thing at night as a more intense lip treatment. Although this is a balm it isn't to greasy, doesn't clog my pores at all and is so versatile. I hope you've enjoyed my review of Superdrug's Vitamin E range, I have really enjoyed trying out a selection of their range that is available. I have loved all of the range and would highly recommend giving this ago, it's full of some hidden gems for such an inexpensive range. There's something there for everybody! Beauty Blogger's & MUA Wedding Day Essentials Benefit's Hello Happy Soft Blur Foundation Review Smashbox Photo Edit Eyeshadow Trio Review Hey Guys, Today's post is all about Kat Von Dee's Metal Crush Extreme Highlighter which is part of her 10 year Anniversary collection, which sees all the items in a gorgeous yellow gold packaging designed by Kat herself, available at Debenhams for £25 in the UK it is limited edition so if you are after any of the collection I wouldn't recommend leaving it to late. This is actually my first ever item from Kat Von D's line, a bit behind the times aren't I? But when I saw this highlighter I knew I had to have it! The packaging is all gold from the outer packaging to the actual item. The unit is extreme reflective and a beautiful yellow gold, it will however show up finger prints and dirt very easily. It has a mirror which is good quality which I love, making it handy to travel with, who doesn't want to check out their highlighter throughout the day?! The formula is a liquid to powder technology meaning it applies smoothly, gliding onto the cheek. It doesn't feel gritty although it contains glitter. It almost feels creamy when you touch it, but is so effortlessly blended into the face, leaving a flawless application. This highlighter is addictive, I am seriously obsessed with it and the way it looks! It is absolutely beautiful. This highlighter is an exclusive gold luminiser designed to guild everything and anything in 24 karat sparkle - and it definitely doesn't disappoint! This highlighter blends out flawlessly to reveal the most perfect hyper reflective micro-crystals that shimmer with every single movement. The light hits the highlighter and gives off the most beautifully blinding sparkle and glow you could ask for. It has an almost duo chrome shift with pale gold and yellow gold moments that give you the most beautiful glow. The glitter looks perfect from afar and close up, which for me was a huge plus as there is nothing worse than it looking specky or like dirt from a far. This highlighter has a very pale base shade of pale gold with the duo chrome pale gold and yellow gold glitter/shimmer. The base shade is very very light and is very much so over powered by the glitter and shimmer of the highlighter. This highlighter will not be everyone's cup of tea, if you don't like glitter in your highlighter the odds are you wont like this. I am usually one of those people but this just blew me away and I feel in love. Which makes it even more special as this is the only glitter highlighter in my collection making it unique! I give this highlighter a full 10/10 - I am completely in love with this product and would say it is one of my favourite products of the year and definitely up there with the Anastasia Beverly Hills x Amrezy Highlighter click here for my full review. ( Which I think would look beautiful together, the Kat Von D would make a gorgeous topper to the ABH x Amrezy - check my Instagram out in the next few days to see the combo! )
The highlighter is truly stunning, it packs a punch, it looks beautiful both during the day with a lighter hand and at night with some Mac Fix Plus and packed onto the cheek for a more blinding effect. It stays put for 8+ hours without moving and looks perfect for the duration of the day! I cant wait to play around and use it as an eyeshadow! I highly recommend this product and may even get an extra for when mine runs out! Until Next Time, Hey Guys, May favourites are usually the most varied and full of amazing Birthday gifts from friends and family. I can't believe that we are now half way through the year! I love seeing all the summer releases from companies and what they come out with for Summer! Without further ado let's jump into my May favourites! Product Of The Month Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon I received this as one of my birthday gifts from my amazing other half and I have completely fallen in love with it! I have never had such a good eyeliner. I got this is Blacquer and it is a pure jet black shade. This gel eyeliner applies like a dream, delivering intense pigment, it glides gently & doesn't pull. Once applied and placed where you want the product , it's almost like it sets, and becomes longwearing, smudge proof and waterproof. The packaging is sleek and feels solid. It's good quality and it's safe to say I completely fallen in love with this and it's become a holy grail product. These retail for £20 and are available from Net-A-Porter Poison Girl Unexpected Next up we have my new favourite perfume for the summer. Another Birthday present this time from my mum. This shakes up the refined ingredients to create a fresh and floral scent. The top note for this is Tanzanian Ginger, the heart note is Damascus Rose & the base note is Venezuelan Tonka Bean. It also has notes of Vanilla and musk./ To me this perfume is the perfect mix of both sweet and spice and a little sour. It smells amazing! I am a big fan of Dior perfumes and this doesn't let you down. It last's so well on me and is both elegant and luxurious. It's a new favourite for me and I love that I have it in their new Rollerpearl size for my handbag. The rollerpearl size is 20ml for £33 and you can get it in 50ml-100ml £42-90. Available from Dior, John Lewis, House Of Frazer & More. Botanics All Bright Cleansing Toner Having recently run out of my favourite rose toner by Dior I was looking for a replacement so I picked this one up at the beginning of the month. My skin has taken to it well, I've added it into my skincare and it is so gentle on the skin., it's so cooling and effectively removes and left over grease after cleansing. All you could want from a toner! It retails for just £5.49 from Boots, which I think is a bargain! Smashbox Photo Edit Trio - Holy Crop I love the colours and shades in this trio, they really make my blue eyes pop when applied. These shadows are extremely pigmented and high quality. The formula is smooth and buttery and really easy to blend out. Some of the easiest shadows I have worked with in a long time. For my full review on this item click here. It retails for £20 and is available from Smashbox and Boots. Smashbox Photo Finish Primerizer As you see I have been loving Smashbox products this month! When I saw this come out I knew that I had to try it out. When I trained as a make up artist we knew nothing about priming the face and where only taught to moisturise the face as part of the process. Now we know that primer is a necessity to prepare your skin for make up. So I love the idea of trying out a product that combines the 2 steps. I love that this product gives hydration with very light texture. I haven't experiences any issues.. My foundation sits evenly on top, looking flawless and it holds my make up in place for 8-12 hours looking perfect. My make up did not budge for the whole day. My skin feels hydrated and soft when I remove the make up which suggests to me it's working to hydrate my skin while under my make up. I will definitely be repurchasing this. This retails for £30 for 30ml and the travel size is £15 for 15ml and is available from Smashbox and Boots. Macadmia Healing Oil Treatment I love the way this oil makes my hair feel, the shine it gives, the nourishment and how a little really goes go a long way. I use this on damp hair before styling and after I have finished styling and it still doesn't weight the hair down. It gives it a beautiful shine, it gets rid of any frizz and fly away hairs as well as nourishing it and helping keep moisture in the hair. Click here for my full review. There are a variety of sizes and prices to match but this product is available from Look Fantastic, Amazon and more. Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra Longwear Concealer This is a medium to full coverage concealer with a gorgeous formula which feels weightless, almost like a serum. It definitely is blurring and crease resistant which is a huge plus to me. A little really does go a long way and is buildable, it blends out beautifully, it dries down quiet quickly but once it does it does not smudge or budge, it really does not move or look cakey. My shade is a !N which is beautiful natural neutral colour perfect to brighten my under eyes. I wore it for around 9/10 hours with no sliding. It covers dark circles and imperfections and can be built up flawlessly I would definitely repurchase this concealer. It retails for £24 and is available from John Lewis, Selfridges, Harrods & Harvey Nichols. There you have my favourites for the month of May. I don't have any fails as I have enjoyed all the products that I have tested out this month. I love tying new make up and seeing new releases. Summer is upon us now and I look forward to seeing some summer releases and some bronzed looks! If you have any requests or questions feel free to leave a comment or drop me a message! Until Next Time, Hey Guys, Today's review is on Smashbox Photo Edit Eyeshadow Trio. I don't own a lot of Smashbox products but the ones I do own I love, I haven't come across a bad product by the brand yet. I got this gorgeous eyeshadow trio for my birthday earlier in May and I have been loving trying it out! You can get these trios from the Smashbox website and Boots for £20. As you all know I am a packaging whore, such a sucker for luxury packaging or something that's a little different. These trio's are part of the photo edit theme and look like a duplicate for a camera lens.. I had the trio called Holy Crop which contains a golden champagne shimmer called Loungerie, a copper red Outfoxed and a dark chocolate brown called Miss Chilli. Smashbox said this trio was dessert inspired. I love the combination of colours in this trio, they really compliment each other. You can create some gorgeous looks with these little palettes. They even have mini look books on the back of the palette. The formula for each shade was slightly different however all where incredibly smooth, buttery and very easy to work with. I experienced no fall out with any of the shades. A little really does go a long way so light taps are only needed. But let's jump into each individual shade; Loungerine This shade is a beautiful golden champagne with a golden pearl finish. This shade is my favourite in the trio. It's a really buttery texture which blends beautifully, it's pigmented with a gentle little sparkle. It does sheer out a little when you blend it out however it is buildable by adding an extra layer. Miss Chilli A dark chocolate brown with very slight sparkle but it functions more as a matte shadow.. The texture was ever so slightly dryer than the other two shades but only ever so slightly, I still wouldn't say it had any noticeable fall out, just the texture when applying the shade. It was still really blendable and has great staying power. A little really does go a long way. Outfoxed This is a gorgeous copper shade with warm red undertones. This shade applies really opaque and is extremely pigmented. When applied over primer it comes out extremely well. For a metallic finish it is so smooth and buttery, not gritty at all and it blends beautifully just like the other 2 shades. Final thoughts; I would give this a high 9/10 marking it down only because for £20 you aren't getting a lot of product, only 0.11oz of product and I think that for some people that may be a bit much, for me personally I would happily pay it. I think it's a fair price point for a premium brand. The quality definitely justifies the cost to me as well. They are some of the most pigmented eyeshadows I have tried in a long way. They blend so beautifully are and are so easy to work with. They would be perfect for newbies to make up with a look in each trio as they wouldn't be to intimidating, they're easy to work with. They'd also be great for MUA as they have a great variety of colours in the trio's the trio's are compact and easy to travel with, and the quality is amazing. There are so many shades that there is something for all skin tones and occasions. Plus if you're a make up collector or love eyeshadows these will make a great addition to the collection! All in all these are well worth getting & deserve more hype then they received! I hope you've enjoyed the review & Until Next Time, Hey Guy's, Today's post is something I have been so excited to put together for the past week or so! With the Royal wedding coming up this Saturday and with my own coming up in the next few years it got me thinking, "I wonder what peoples one magic must have product for their wedding day would be?" I decided to go with the idea and ask a few of the ladies that I am in pods with and a few that I interactive with on social media! Some are married, recently. Some are planning their wedding and some have no plans of getting married. But it was so interesting to see everyone's different answer! So below I asked each blogger or make up artist " What one beauty product would you insist on using on your wedding day and why?" and here are their answers. Sian Kathrine - My wedding day beauty essential would be Benefit Roller Lash mascara. It’s a firm favourite of mine anyway, but on my wedding day I’d definitely want a soft and girly look and for my eyes to stand out as they are my best feature. Roller Lash is so perfect for giving me pretty, fluttery lashes! Check out Sian on her Social Media; Blog;Sian Kathrine.co.uk Twitter;SianKathrine Instagram;Sian Bedford Reanne Miller - I'm all about the concealer! I think it's the best thing, whether it's to brighten target areas, even out your complexion or hide that convenient spot that's decided to show itself. The concealer I highly recommend is the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer - it doesn't give you the caked on look and it blends so well. Plus it's full coverage and extremely long lasting which I know is a must if you know it's going to be a long day! Check out Reanne on her Social Media; YouTube; Reanne Twitter; rreannemiller Instagram; reanne.miller Vini Batavia - One beauty essential I would totally recommend is the Strobe Highlighting Cream by Mac. It's such a beautiful natural creamy highlighter that can give you the glow from within look in a jiffy. Every bride should look her glowing best on her wedding day and I feel this product delivers just that. I always use it when my skin isn't in the greatest shape and it never fails me. It gives me the oomph and confidence I need for those bad skin days.Love it! I feel I would want my dress to play the main part and make up should enhance my best features, but not be too dramatic. I would put the emphasis on the base, amazing primer so the my make up would be able to survive all night long. Also, as I wouldn't want too many colours on my face I would definitely want a blinding highlight to bring a little "bling" moment to my face. My choice is a highlighter by Jeffree Star because his highlighters are high quality, blinding and stay on your face a long time. Delyana Georgieva - It's nearly been a year since my wedding and thinking back at it I can truly say it was the best time of my life... but then it also reminds me of how super busy it was that day. Waking up at 4:30am to do my make up, get my hair done and then also do my mum's make up and my grandma's make up too?!I'm crazy I know. At one point I forgot it's actually my own wedding that's happening but as a professional I wanted to do it all myself on my special day since I wanted it all to be liked I imagined it. Bulgarian traditions are very long and the whole day just flew by. But let's talk about make up. We all know how important it is to do make up right so it looks flawless and is long lasting. Well, mine had to stay on for 24 hours (yes out wedding ended at 4:30 am the next morning) Well the good news is - my make up DID NOT MOVE! I selected the products I used very carefully so that they were all photography and weather appropriate too! I am however, going to talk about the one product in specific that really got my make up through. the day and that is the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray! Girls .. I can't stress enough how important it is to set your make up to make sure you're only carrying a lipstick with you and not having to bring your whole make up bag to touch up your face through the day! My skin is extremely oil in the T-zone and no matter what I use underneath to control it, unless it is set with UD setting spray, oils always come out and who wants a shiny nose or forehead on their wedding photos? Different setting sprays work best for different people but from my past experience this one is one of the best out there. It locks your make up and helps it stay flawless for a very very very long time! Check out Delyana on her Instagram; d.e.l.y.a.n.a Lynsey Webb -The item I would pick would have to be, Image foundation is for All skin types, pigmentation, redness and rosacea, acne and acne scarring, post cosmetic injections, bruising and scarring, post-treatment, post-laser, post-surgery.I-Conceal Flawless Foundation, a mineral based, paraben free product, is a lightweight, breathable, and water-resistant formula. Victoria De Costa - I would have to use Kat Von D Shade & Light Face Contour Palette. This is because I have hardly any cheek bones, so it is really embaressing for me. On my wedding I'd contour the shit out of my face, because I need prominent cheeks on my wedding day. Check out Victoria's social media; Blog;unveilingvictoria.co.za Twitter;Toridecosta Instagram;Toridecosta Chloe H - One beauty item that I would insist on for my wedding day would be Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation. This foundation is my holy grail and no other foundation compares to it. It's full coverage, gives a flawless finish, feels comfortable to wear and most importantly is lasts all day/night. It controls oil really well so you don't have to powder a lot throughout the day if at all. This foundation hasn't let me down and I've been using it for 8 years. I will continues to use it and my wedding day wont be any different. Even thought it's a long way off before I get married. Last up we have me! I'm currently busy planning my wedding with my partner, we keep changing what we want and then doing 360's right back to our original idea's. One thing I always knew was that I would do my own make up, after training as a Make up artist and knowing how fussy I can be, I figured no one knows my face like I do, or what I want from the look. I can do as many trials as I want and play around as much as I like! One thing I want to make sure is that my skin looks perfect, this means using my favourite foundation Yves Saint Laurent All Hours. Suffering from Chronic illnesses means I often suffer from bags and dark circles under my eyes, this foundation covers everything. My dark circles go, my skintone is evened, blemishes are covered and my skin looks flawless. This foundation really makes my skin look perfect and it lasts all day hence it's name. Click here for my full review. I hope you've enjoyed this post, I have loved putting it together and seeing all the girls different answers. It seems that we all have the same goal in mind when it comes to out wedding day make up, we want it to last all day and night while remaining flawless throughout! Make sure you go and check the girls social media and blogs out, they're all amazingly talented at what they do and offer some great quality. Il also list below all they're Instagram's again for you to check out. I also want to say an extra thank-you to Delyana for allowing me to use her Wedding day photos for this project! She looked absolutely beautiful. Also let us know what product you would insist on using on your big day? Until Next Time, Hey Guys, Today's post is all about Macadamia's Healing Oil Treatment, I was lucky enough to have this product gifted to myself to try and review. After using it now for a few times a week for a few weeks I thought I was pop a review up as some of you really wanted to hear about the product. So let's jump straight into the review. This product comes in a dark glass bottle, covered mainly with a label, which makes it hard to see how much product is left. Their packaging has remained the same for several years and to me is fairly iconic to their brand. The oil has a very fair amber tint to it. It isn't ridiculously thick, it's more of a thinner oil. The scent is quite distinctive of sandalwood and a slight patchouli scent mixed in. When used on wet hair the scent does linger for a little while compared to on dry hair when it disappears quite quickly. It's not my favourite scent but it doesn't bother me too much as it is fairly feminine and disappears quickly. I use this healing oil on my hair when its damp before drying it whether I blow dry it or leave it to air dry. This makes my hair extra soft, manageable, I have less fly away's and the ends just feel nourished. I also use it after I have straightened my hair. Although I only straight my hair the maximum of once a week. It really gives it a beautiful shine, it doesn't weigh my hair down at all which I was surprised about. There is no frizz or fly away hair. My hair feels sleek, healthy and looks amazing! There really are no negatives of using this oil for me. I tend to only apply the oil from the mid lengths to the end of my hair more out of a habit then anything else. I also have used a few drops into my hair masks where I have left the masks on for 20 minutes, this seems to add some extra nourishment, it really helps to detangle it and makes my hair extremely shiny. I only do this once a fortnight as that's all it needs. My final thoughts, I give this Healing oil treatment a full 9/10 the only reason that I have taken a mark off is the price of the product. Although I feel that the product is worth the price tag, I can appreciate that it is a pricey product. I love the way it makes my hair feel, the shine, the nourishment and how manageable it is, having long hair means that having hair that is tangle free is important too me. This healing oil is a permanent product in my routine for my hair now. I will be purchasing more when I run out but another great positive is that you really don't need a lot when you use it so a little goes a long way and the bottle will last you a decent amount of time! You can find Macadamia on Facebook. The Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment comes in several different sizes from 10ml to 125ml which retails from £4.99 to £28.99, Available from website such as Lookfantastic, Amazon and Fragrance Direct. I hope you've enjoyed this review! Until Next Time, Hey Guys, Today's post is one of my favourites to do, it's April Favourite's & Fails. I love letting you guys know what products I have been loving and which I haven't been to keen on. Every month is always different and this month I have quiet a few make up items which I have been loving! So let's jump straight in! Product Of The Month This months product of the month is Ofra's Highlighter in Rodeo Drive. This is hands down my favourite product of the month. As you may know I have a very serious highlighter addiction! I don't know why it took me so long to get round to purchasing Ofra's blinding highlighter. It truly is beautiful, it's a gorgeous golden highlighter with amazing pigmentation, a little really does go a long way. It feels like butter and is really long lasting. The full size highlighter retails for £25 and the mini is £10 and is available from BeautyBay. I give this a 9/10 it really is just the packaging that lets the product down slightly. But that's just a personal opinion. I can't wait to add more Ofra highlighters to the collection. Second up we have Kiko Milano Smart Cult Eyeshadow Palette. Although I have mainly been doing naturals and browns for this months looks, if I have needed a pop of colour then this is the palette I have reached for. It is so buttery and pigmented, it blends so well and is everything you want in an eyeshadow palette. You can purchase this from Kiko Milano's website and instore for £16.90. Click here for my full review. Third up on the list is Smashbox Primnerizer which is a primer and a moisturiser all in one! This formula is very lightweight, it feels instantly hydrating when used. My skin always feel smooth and soft. My make up always applies flawlessly when this is used. Provides the perfect canvas for make up to be applied to. Massive fan of this newer product. This retails for £30 for 30ml and £15 for the travel size. You can purchase it from Smashbox website, &Boots. Next up we have my new favourite eyebrow styler. Dior - Diorshow Brow Styler available from Dior.com for £21. This styler is so easy to use, gives you really natural looing brows. It fills the brows in but doesn't look in natural or to dark. I have the shade 003 as my eyebrows are quite a dark brown. Makes doing your brows so easy especially paired with Benefit's Gimme Brow. Another 1 of my favourites is the newest member to Benefit's box o' powders family - the new Gold Rush. This blusher is a gorgeous peach shade, it blends into your make up flawlessly, It's long lasting and really suits my medium skin tone. I think it would suit fair to medium skin tones best. The packaging is very metallic, there's a cowboy boot with lace up detail, it's very eye catching. I love the shade, peach blushers are my favourite. I give this a 8/10 just because the formula seems a little dry, it's not as butter as I would like. It is still a good product. I loved the gold overspray & it's a shame it goes on the first use. You can get this in both the mini and full size. The full size retails for £25.50 and the mini for £12.50. It's available from Benefit's website, Cult & Debenhams and many more retailers. The last item on my list is another favourite which is Ragdale Hall Spa which is sold at Marks & Spencers. The product I have been loving is their pampering body scrub. Retails for £6. This scrub is gentle yet abrasive enough to leave your skin feeling soft and refreshed. That's all there is for this month. I haven't tried anything this month which has failed for me. It's nice to have all favourites. I can't wait until May's favourites and fails. It's my birthday which always means I get some new bits to try out. One of my favourite things is to try new products and see how they work and put the to the test! If you have any products you want me to try out then let me know! This foundation stick retails for just £5 which is an absolute bargain! This is definitely on my list to pick up next time I go shopping! Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge This is hands down my favourite sponge from high end to budget and my make up draws full of them! It blends make up beautifully without soaking up all of your product. Well worth trying if your in the market for a new sponge or if your fed up of paying top dollar for beautyblenders! Available for around £5 from lots of different stores such as; Look Fantastic, Boots, Amazon and more! Burt's Bees Micellar Water Cleansing Wipes These wipes claim to cleanse, tone and leave your skin feeling hydrated. They are meant to be good for de-clogging pores and removing any lingering make up. They retail for £6.49 and are available from John Lewis, M&S, Amazon & Feel Unique. Glamglow Bubblesheet I really want to give this bubble sheet mask a go. When applied it starts to bubble up hence its name.. This is a deep cleansing and detoxifying mask. This will be in my basket for next time I make a order! It retails for £7 and is available from Glamglow's as well as other online sites. NYX Shimmer Down Pigment I have been loving playing with eye looks recently and these look like they would add a beautiful shimmer to the eye. I love the nude/champagne colour and the bronze/gold colour. They retail for just £6 and are available from NYX website, Cult Beauty & Boots. BH Cosmetics Floral Duo Cheek Color Available for just £4 from BeautyBay. These are absolutely beautiful, the colours they've used are beautiful especially the Bahama Bronze shade. These would be perfect for travelling with. BH have been coming out with some great products recently so I cant wait to give some a try. So there we have 6 amazing products for under £7! Be sure to go and check some of them out! Until Next Time, Hey Guys, Today's review is on a new product from Morphe. Their new Brontour compacts. This is available from their website for £12. It comes in 6 different shades. Glitterati, Frenemy, Celebutante, Vlogger, Fantabulous and Showmance. With it being available in 6 different shades it really does cater to everyone from fairer skin to those with a deeper complexion. I have a medium skin tone but I went for the lightest of 6 shades Glitterati. The reason I went for the lightest is I liked the colour of the bronzer in the lightest one. Morphe have recently changed up their packaging and I love the new look! It is simple yet stylish and sleek. I love simple packaging when it is doene properly. Each Brontour has a mirror inside and I have to say it's a good quality one. Perfect for travelling with. Each brontour is split into 2 shades one is for contouring and the other is a bronzer, they are in one pan and pressed together, if you have a large fluffy brush this can make picking up the desired product harder as it goes into the other side very easily. The 2 shades in Glitterati are; matte sand and shimmering champagne. When I used this the matte sand shade was perfect for a soft contour without being to harsh which I'm quite liking at the moment. The Shimmering champagne side was like a slightly bronzed highlighter, it added some sparkle and warmth to the contour, I'm not sure I'm going to use the bronzer side as much as to me it's more of an awkward mix between bronzer and highlighter. The product itself is so buttery, it blends gorgeously and defines the face without leaving me look muddy. It blended really well with the other products used. It looked perfect from the moment it was put on right until I removed the make up more than 8 hours later. My final thoughts on the product. I give this a 7/10, mainly because I absolutely loved the contour side, it lasted beautifully and really gave me a beautifully soft but defined look. The bronzer side left me a little disappointed as it wasn't really something I would use. However with it only being £12 and most contours and bronzers being double that in price, its definitely something I recommend if your looking for a good contour shade. This look I used the Glitterati duo, it gave a beautiful soft contoured look. I loved how it contoured the nose without being obvious.
Until Next Time, Hey Guys, Today's post is all about Benefit's newest product their Hello Happy Soft Blurring Foundation which retails for £25.50 for 1 fluid oz, from their website, House Of Faser and Debenhams. Having caused a controversy with Benefit only releasing 12 shades of their newest foundation, compared to brands like Fenty who have launched 40 shades and is all inclusive. However 12 shades for a sheer/lightweight foundation shouldn't be compared to a full coverage range which needs to be a more exact match to customers skin. Sheer foundation means that 1 shade can work for different skin tones, each shade is fairly neutral and therefore will work with a wider range of skin tones. Benefit also stated that out of the 12 shades we have 3 light, 5 medium and 4 deep. Meaning the range is fairly spread out and will cater to a variety of people. I was lucky enough to get a sample when I visited my local Debenhams, I had enough to do my foundation over a few days, to give it a fair trial. This foundation truly is lightweight and is infused with smooth spherical beads that softly diffuse which creates a blurring effect. I 100% agree that it has a blurring effect and helps to minimise the look of pores. It looked to me more like a dewy finish then matte, it had a very radiant finish and gave a gorgeous natural glow effect. The first time I used it I did just 1 coat and really felt like it barely did anything other than add some radiance. It really looked more like a BB cream. I then went onto build it up over the next few days, which it did without problem, it then offered more coverage but too me personally it just didn't do enough for me to fall in love with this foundation. I could still see my dark circles under my eyes, any small imperfection I had where poking out through the coverage and it didn't really even my skin tone out which is a major downside. The foundation oxidises slightly once it dries down. It doesn't crease and works well with concealers which is a plus. I think if you are into lightweight and barely there foundation this will be right up your street, but for me it just didn't do enough. It feels very lightweight in fact it barely feels like you are wearing anything, it wasn't transfer proof at all though and when applied with a brush it was patchy compared to better coverage with the beauty blender. I do like the packaging, is fun and the little smiley face is adorable. The pink metallic is gorgeous and very eye catching. Over all I give this foundation a 4/10. I love the way it felt on the skin, especially on these hot summer days. It really did have a blurring effect which I liked and the radiant finish was a big plus, I also liked the packaging although slightly childlike. It's downsides; It smelt like chemicals, extremely badly enough to put you off, it did die down once it started to dry,. It didn't cover my dark circles or even my skin tone. It oxidised a little orange, and was fairly patchy on the skin. Personally this foundation isn't for me and I wont be purchasing it. Until Next Time, Hey Guys! Today's post is one I have been so excited to write about, Kiko Milano's new Smart Cult Eyeshadow Palette. Since I went shopping in Bristol and went in a Kiko Milano shop I have fallen in love and can't wait to try more of their products. So let's jump straight into the review! This palette is extremely affordable at just £16.90, available in Kiko stores and their online store. There are 2 different variations on the palette, the first called Matte Revolution. Which as you can imagine from the name holds 12 matte shades from pale pinks to deep browns. I however went for the other palette. The Shocking Sparkle Shades which really caught my eye, with 12 stunningly sparkly shades it's hard not to fall in love with it! The packaging is very sleek and black, I love that it comes with a mirror on the inside, perfect for travelling! Above you can see the palette both with and without the flash on the camera. The flash really does make the colours pop but it looks beautiful in both! Photo's really don't do this palette justice. This palette has 12 gorgeous sparkly shades ranging from deep and dark black with silver glitter to deep blues and pale nudes that feel like butter! These shadows are a dream to work with. They feel so creamy and buttery, there is barely any fall out which I love! They apply beautifully and with a lot of pigment as you can see from the swatches down below. They blend out nicely and work well with mattes from other brands. As long as you wear a primer before using these shadows then they are longwearing and don't crease. I can honestly say I am so impressed with this palette! Before I purchased this I was a Kiko virgin so I wasn't sure what to expect but I have to say that this exceeded all my expectations! This palette gets a 9/10 the only reason I have marked it down is because I fee like the packaging could of been more eye catching (I am a packaging whore!!) The actual shadows work amazingly, they are some of the creamiest shadows I have worked with. They last all day looking perfect right until you take it off. It didn't crease or cause any irritation. The pigmentation is crazy good and rivals that of Juvia's Place (Click here for a review on the Nubian Palette) I can't believe how well they perform and they don't even give you fall out! I am so excited to go and try some more of their products and I hope they bring out some more sparkly palettes! I hope you enjoyed the post lovelies! Until Next Time, P.s The total for the "How Much Was My Face" Dior Addition is a whopping - £409.50 - Who guessed correctly or was close?! Let Me Know, KL x
Hey Guys, Last week I took a trip to House Of Fraser's Dior counter in Plymouth and saw the amazingly talented Sophie. From the moment I arrived I was made to feel so welcome, we talked about some new products, which Sophie later used to create such a gorgeous look. I thought it would be a fun post to see how much the look ended up costing, giving me the title "How much is my face worth?" (You can take a guess on my latest Instagram post) So we are going to take a look at the products used and give you some first impressions along the way. So let's jump straight in. We started off by moisturising the face with their new Capture Youth Moisturiser, this retails for £75 for 50ml of product. I was given a small pot to try and a week later it is still half full. A little really does go a long way, it feels really gentle on my skin. Since using this moisturiser my skin has looked smoothed, toned and has a natural glow. I am a huge fan of this moisturiser, I give it a 8/10 the only downside is the price. Although if your big into skincare I do recommend giving it ago or if your unsure then maybe go and ask for a small sample. We then went onto prime the face using the Forever and ever primer, which retails for £30.50 for 30ml. This primer creates a silky smooth canvas to apply and enhance your make up. This primer felt amazing and definitely helped to preserve the make up throughout the day. I really liked this primer because I personally prefer primers that give you a smoother canvas rather than tacky. I give this top marks 10/10. Next we went onto the eyes where Sophie further primed the eyes with their Diorskin Forever Undercover concealer. Sophie used shade 20 which is a light beige. This concealer is perfect to hide my dark circles and any discolouration on the eyelid and around the eye. I actually have this concealer at home and its definitely in my top 3. It really brightens the under eye and is full coverage. It is such a reasonable price at just £21. For my full review click here. Sophie then went onto create a gorgeous eye look using the High Fidelity Colours & Effects Eyeshadow Palette in the shade 676 In Flame. This comes in gorgeous shades from a bright coral colour to a darker brown. These eyeshadows are insanely pigmented, have spectacular staying power. It looked perfectly from 2pm until midnight when I removed it. It has a really creamy formula and blends really well. I love the look Sophie created especially the coral which really made my eyes pop. These eyeshadow palettes retail for £47.50 and have lots of different colour stories. They are up there in price but the quality is amazing. I love how compact they are which makes them perfect for traveling with. I give this 8/10 and I can't wait to add some more to my collection. We then carried on with the eye's using Diorshow Pro Liner in black. This again remained looking perfect throughout the day. A perfect matte black liner and really reasonably priced at £20. I highly recommend this if you're looking for a new eyeliner. This gets top marks at 10/10 and I have actually purchased this since reviewing it. We then moved onto the brow area where Sophie created some gorgeously full eyebrows using their Diorshow Brow Styler in shade 003 Auburn. This retails for £20 & I loved how my brows looked so much that I purchased myself the styler to recreate the look. My eyebrows where one of my favourite parts of the look, they where very different to how I do them normally. The styler creates gorgeous natural looking brows. It once again gets full marks! 10/10 We then went onto the face and we used one of Dior's new products! The Diorskin Forever Unercover in shade 025 Soft Beige. This retails for £34 for 30ml. This foundation is medium to full coverage and it made my skin look very natural and matte which I love. It takes a while to set so you can play around and move it without ruining your make up. The foundation looked perfect throughout the day, staying in place and creating a gorgeous veil over the face which looked like a second skin. I like this foundation and I may purchase this in the future. I give it a 8/10 just because I do love a full coverage foundation and this doesn't quite give me that, especially under the eyes. We did of course go in with the concealer again to try and cover any imperfections that where coming through the foundation and also to help carve out the brows a little more. After this we went onto warm the face up and bronze using Diorskin Nude Air Glow in shade 003 retailing for £36.50, this gave such a gorgeous bronzed look to the face, creating more definition and lasting all day! I highly recommend this powder as it really did stay in place all day. Top marks once again 10/10. We continued on the face by using a blusher to add a little colour to the checks. using Diorblush in shade Coral Crush 676 this retails for £33.50 and although it looks a very vibrant colour, you only need a small amount to create that gorgeous flash of colour. It is very pigmented and again lasted all day. They really have some gorgeous shades in their blusher range and are well worth checking out! 9/10 Next we went onto my favourite part of applying make up, the highlighter! I absolutely love a blinding highlighter and Dior's Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer does not disappoint! This retails for £42 but does come with a kabuki brush and gorgeous pouch. I previously purchased the shade 002 and it looks beautiful! The highlight is buildable from a natural glow to a really blinding highlight. It looked just as beautiful at the end of the day as it did when applied. I highly recommend this, especially if you love highlighters. I give this a 8/10 just because of its high price point. Last up was the lips! Before we put the lipstick on we lined the lips with Dior Contour Lip Liner this retails for £21. We decided to go for a nude lipstick as I had such a bold eye. I was so excited as we got to use Dior's new Addict Lacquer Plump. This retails for £28.50 which I think it's a reasonable price for such a good product. We used shade 426 "Lovely D" which was a gorgeous mauve nude. It really went well with the look Sophie created. The lacquer was really comfortable to wear, it isn't sticky & doesn't create a weird film on the lips. It has a gorgeous shine that really catches the light. I don't think that it is long lasting unfornately but it really is a gorgeous colour! Because it didn't last very long I do feel like it looses a few points therefore I give it a 6/10. There we have it, a full look by an amazingly talented Make up artist. I had such fun going through all the new products, it was a fun experience and Sophie made it so enjoyable, she's so full of knowledge and makes it so easy to ask questions and talk to. It really was a fun experience and I cant wait to see all of your guesses at how much my face is worth? Here is the finished look! We have a fun announcement for you guys at the start of May, so make sure you keep a eye out for that! I really hope you've enjoyed a little insight to getting your make up done at a counter and my review on some of the new Dior products. I will reveal " How much my face was worth" in my next post! Until Next Time, Hey Guys, Can you believe that we are 1/4 of the way through the year already! I have a mixture of products this month. Some oldies that I have fallen back in love with and some new products that I have found. So let's jump straight in and see what I have been loving and items I have not. Product Of The Month. Morphe Continuous Setting Spray £15 available from the Morphe Website. This was an easy win for the month. Since purchasing this I have used it every time I have done my make up. Morphe have created an aerosol setting mist which makes this setting spray so amazing.. This comes in a bottle that reminds me of hairspray. It comes out in a fine spray which doesn't make you wet and melts your make up into the skin and lasts for hours upon hours. I love that it comes out evenly and smells amazing. This is definitely my number 1 setting spray and the one I reach for. I highly recommend picking this up if you need a new setting spray. 2. Benefit Gimme Brow. Benefit's Gimme Brow is available from Benefit's Website, Debenhams, John Lewis & many more. This retails for £20.50 (however over Easter weekend it's down to £18.50) This product is so easy to use and gives such amazing results. I love how you can build your coverage up and how the applicator creates natural looking eyebrows. It gives you natural and full looking eyebrows which you can build up. It comes in 3 different shades, 1 which is light, 3 which is medium and 5 which is dark. For a full review click here. 3. Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter This stunning highlighter is available as both in mini and full size options. The full size retails for £32 for 8g and the mini retails for £15 for 2.5g. It is available from Cult Beauty, Space NK & QVC (who stock some of Becca's products) IT's available in lots of different shades but I opted for Moonstone, which is a pale gold. I went for a mini as I needed more options for when I travel. This highlighter is applies beautifully and lasts all day without looking cakey. You can build it up to be a really blinding highlight or use it as a much more subtle glow. 4. So? Vanilla Body Mist Part of one of So's newer lines of body fragrance, which has some gorgeous scents from Pina Colada to Marshmallow & Watermelon. They're available from Boots, Superdrug and lots of other retailers. They retail for around £4 but are often on offer. This is a perfect body mist for around the home and chilled out day's. It lasts well and I love the vanilla scent! 5. Skinfood Freshmade Lemon Mask I have been a die hard fan of skinfood for years1 Their Black Sugar range is my favourite! This mask is available from a few Korean stores based here in the UK - sometimes stock can be hit and miss. Some stores that stock Skinfood are Ulta, YESSTYLE and Amazon. This mask smells amazing, it's a gel based mask that you wash out. It is so refreshing, gives you a beautiful glow and helps skin tone! I highly recommend this product if you see it, grab it! 6. Mac Mineralised Eyeshadow Quad. This Mac quad of eyeshadows with one of my favourite olive green shades in was given to me as a gift last year for my birthday and I have been loving it ever since. The colour pay off is amazing and blend so well. An oldie but a goodie. For my full review from last year click here.. Disappointing Products This month we have just one disappointing product The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution. This is available from a few different retailers such as The Ordinary's website, BeautyBay & Cult Beauty. It retails for £6.80. This product leaves a horrible tacky residue for hours after use. It also irritates my skin which is sensitive, makes it go red and slightly sore around the eyes. A massive pass for me. So there you have it guys my March favourites and fails. Not as many as previous months but some real gems in there! I'm looking forward to some Spring and Summer launches from different brands. I will have a post up in the next few weeks of some new make up launching that will be on the hit list to try! If there any products you want me to try for you then drop me a message! Until Next Time, Hey guys, Today's review is on Benefit's Gimme Brow. My eyebrow's have always been something I have struggled to love. I feel that they always came up short, where never something I was proud of, until I started using Benefit's Gimme Brow product. This product will be back in stock towards the end of March and you'll be able to buy it from Benefit, Cult, Boots & other retailers that sell Benefit. It retails for £20.50 and is available in 3 different shades. 1,3 & 5. 1 is light, 3 which is medium and 5 is deep. Gimme Brow is a tinted eyebrow gel which includes tiny microfibers that adhere to both skin and hairs creating natural full looking eyebrows. The tiny brush helps with easy application. I completely agree with Benefits claims! Since using this product my eyebrows look full, it is easy to use, mess free and looks really natural. You can build up the coverage and gives natural looking volume. I use shade 3 for medium brown brows, it matches perfectly with my brows. I love being able to have full looking brows with just a few strokes of a brush, makes it so easy to create full looking brows. I give this product a full 9/10. I only took a point away because I believe there could be some more shades. It works perfectly, easy to use, gives you perfect eyebrows with just a few strokes or you can build the coverage up for more full coverage looks. I highly recommend this product! Make sure you keep a look out around 27th of March for the restock! Until Next Time, Hey guys! Over the past few months there have been a lot of foundation releases but one that I had to try was YSL's All Hours Foundation. With it's claim of 24 hours flawless coverage, I knew I had to try it. I matched myself up and my shade was B20! This foundation has 22 shades and is recommended for combination and oily skin. My skin is fairly normal yet can at times be sensitive. But I have seen a lot of different beauty guru's with lots of different skin types using this foundation. It was still a must try for me. The packaging for this product is very luxurious. It's in a frosted glass bottle, it feels heavy. It has a pump dispenser allowing you to control the amount of product dispensed. YSL claim this foundation is transfer proof. Full coverage with a finish that promises too look fresh and flawless for up to 24 hours. It is oil free & contains SPF20. Will blur pores while keeping them unclogged. It contains black tea an anti-oxidant to combat signs of dullness and fatigue. It has a high concentration of oil absorbing pigment that cover and smooth perfectly while resisting fading, flacking and heat humidity. Based on previous experiences with matte full coverage foundation I expected the consistency of this one to be a thick and heavy cream. But this foundation glided on effortlessly and blended like a dream. It wasn't cakey or heavy. It looks natural yet full coverage. My face looked airbrushed straight away. The coverage was medium to full coverage but you can build this up when needed without any adverse effects. It instantly covered my trouble areas such as my dark circles.. It didn't crease or make any fine lines prominent. I have sensitive skin at the moment but the formula didn't aggravate my skin at all. This foundation lasted 12 hours and still looked as perfect as when I applied it. My skin looked calm and hydrated. My skin after removing the foundation was smooth and unlike some foundation that dry my skin out, this one had locked hydration in. There are 22 shades to choose from, shades to match different undertones. The shades for neutral complexions are under the letter B, cooler tones are marked BR and warmer tones are labelled BD. Not only do YSL have the All hours foundation but there is a whole range including primers and concealer. So next up on my list is to try the All hours concealer. I give this product a full 10/10. This really is one of the most perfect foundation I have ever tried. I love the finish the foundation gives., it makes your skin looked airbrush. It's long-lasting and not only does it last all day but it looks perfect all day. It didn't aggravate my sensitive skin. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a new foundation or who is looking for a full coverage foundation. This foundation retails for £35 and is available from multiple stores such as; Boots, John Lewis, Debenhams, House Of Fraser & YSL Online. I hope you have enjoyed my review!
