Hey Guys, Today's post was inspired by Jenny In Neverland. I was wondering around the internet and found her "My Top Thing's I Treat Myself To When I'm Feeling S**t" and it gave me inspiration to do my own. Because I suffer from several chronic illnesses and have so many poorly day's I thought it would be a good post to show you some of the things I do and use to try and help myself feel better. Self care is so important and we really don't take enough care of ourselves, because of different strains and pressures we often neglect ourselves both mentally and physically. So these are some of the things I do to try and help me take care of myself. 1. Watch Christmas Films It doesn't matter what time of year it is, I love cheering myself up with Christmas films, they are just full of such cheer and goodwill, it reminds me of happier times and that can only be a good thing! 2. Turn My Phone Off Sometimes the best things for us aren't things that money can buy, so when I feel like its all a bit too much, I turn my phone off and completely disconnect from people, social media and all the drama. This really does help me to feel more like myself and fresh to face anything that comes my way. 3. Take A Nap Okay if you know me then you know that naps are one of my favourite things do, because I have several chronic illnesses that take their toll on me naps have become a necessity to survive, so I definitely let my body take naps when I need them, after all naps are just for the young and elderly! 4. A Hug Sometimes its nice to just have a huge from the other half, it's enough sometimes for me to feel safe and happy again.. The power of human touch is a powerful thing.. 5. Take a shower Some have baths to relax them but I find running water way more relaxing. So for me showers are a great way to feel better. Everything feels better when your refreshed and clean. It's a good time to think while your alone and relaxed, some of my best idea's come from my shower time! 6. Spa Time If I'm really stressed or just not doing okay then I love going to a spa. I love to have treatments done something relaxing like a back massage or facial. Massage releases endorphins which is a feel good chemical that tells your brain to boost your mood and give you a natural high. I also love the spa experience going for a swim or a hot tub, it just is one of those things that give me a real good high. 7. Online Shopping Okay this is probably not the healthiest of habits to be in but when I'm feeling low I definitely enjoy retail therapy. There's something about buying yourself a treat that just makes me feel better. From the ordering it to getting it in the post. It just lifts my spirits! There you have it guys things that make me feel better, let me know down below what you do when you're feeling like s**t? Until Next Time, Don't forget to check Jenny In Neverland's original post out!
