Today's review is on the very popular brand The Ordinary and their moisturiser. The Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA Surface hydration Formula - ( That is one hell of a long name!) The Ordinary is fast becoming the latest brand to take the beauty world by storm. Cropping up on many beauty influencers YouTube channels & blogs! A lot of websites now have the products, with most being sold out and you having to join a waiting list. I purchased this from BeautyBay for £5 for 30mls. It is also available from Asos, Cult Beauty, Look Fantastic and many more. The first thing I noticed with this product was the packaging, although simple it has a velvety matte finish to the box. It feels very high end looks very high end. The bottle itself is silver matte and also feels nice. It looks very clinical and clean to me which I love especially with skincare.
The Ordinary is actually a brand from DECIEM which has been labelled "The hottest beauty company right now." All of their products are completely free from lots of nasties such as; parabens, sulphates, mineral oil, animal oils, mercury and many more things we need to avoid for our skin. I have been using this product for a few weeks now and I have to say that I am overwhelmed at how well it performs. I use this at the end of my skincare routine both in the morning and evening. My skin is fairly normal yet sensitive and I rarely suffer with oil or breakouts. However this product seems to have made my skin even softer to touch, it hydrates it without clogging my pores up. It feels lightweight when applied and refreshing. It feels ever so slightly tacky for a few minutes after application but soon dries down. Natural Moisturizing Factors (NMF) are elements that keep the outer layer of the skin protected and well-hydrated. NMF are made up of multiple amino acids, fatty acids, triglycerides, urea, ceramides, phospholipids, glycerin, saccharides, sodium PCA, hyaluronic acid and many other compounds that are naturally present in the skin. This formula offers non-greasy hydration that acts as a direct topical supplement of impaired NMF components. It contains 11 amino acids, phospholipids, alpha/beta/gamma fatty acids, triglycerides, sterols and sterol esters, glycerin, ceramide precursors, urea, saccharides, sodium PCA and hyaluronic acid. Therefore if your skin lacks any of these NMF components this moisturiser will help to replenish and work with them. I highly recommend this product. It will work wonders on any skin type but especially if you suffer from dry skin. This moisturiser will have you seeing great results instantly, It hydrates and moisturises immediately and improves skin tone and texture with continued use. It not only works as a great moisturiser but also as a great make up primer due to the Glycerin which is present. With it retailing for around £5 on most sites you really cant go wrong! This product gets a full 10/10 for me and I will definitely be keeping it as part of my skincare routine!
